Welcome to April & UFO Sightings with Eileen Hull

1 Apr

Welcome to April and (no fooling!) there will be lots of UFO sightings this month! Our theme for the Creative Team is either finishing up projects that have been sitting for a time, or revisiting a project and putting a new spin on it with different dies. This should be fun! (We’d love to see you share your UFO projects in the Fan Club too.)

What’s the word from Eileen?

My husband and I just got in from spending some quality time with the four CT grandkids. We watched movies, went to a trampoline park, visited the Mystic Aquarium, did some watercoloring together and went out to eat. Such a great visit! After arriving home, we finished the dreaded taxes…

Today I am clearing my desk before the last minute creative binge before leaving for the tradeshow early Thursday morning. Come create with me and you might get a sneak peek of the new May Sizzix release!

Creativation is a tradeshow for the creative industries that I attend every year – this time it’s in Seattle. I’ll be traveling on Thursday so there will be no scheduled livestream. However, I hope to be jumping on at random times so you can see what’s new and what the show looks like. Make sure you have enabled notifications so you’ll get a notice when I am going live. Friday and Saturday are for education, then the show floor opens on Sunday through Tuesday for buyers.

I will be demoing in the Sizzix booth two hours a day during the show and there *might* be a sneak peek of the new May release so hope you can watch 🙂

If you missed the Loom video on Thursday, catch up here:

Inspiration from the Creative Team…

Sarah Lizzie is sharing a past project featuring Eileen’s Sunflower Die. You can never go wrong having a stash of tags on hand! These pretty floral tags would be great to add to packages or just to brighten someone’s day. You can see more details in her post.

Here’s another project from the past to inspire you to pull out your Snail Mail, Faux Postage or Slimline & Tickets Die Sets and play with making “postage stamps” to incorporate into projects. Jenny Marples created this lovely journal example and you can see more here.

Don’t miss the March Spring project Round Up!

Fan Club Comfort & Joy Event Wrap-Up!

30 Nov

It’s time for the Comfort & Joy event wrap-up! In the Eileen Hull Fan Club Facebook group, fans have been treated to loads of inspiring content all month long. This is our fourth annual Comfort & Joy which started during the pandemic as a way to stay connected throughout the holidays even though we were separated from family and friends. Now it’s an Eileen Hull Fan Club tradition!

The team created with holiday recipes that included an Eileen Hull die or product! Keep in mind “recipes” can include anything – actual baked goods, journals, banners, tags, cards, home decor, gift wrap and gifts to give and sell. We hope that you enjoyed this event and were inspired to keep creating all this holiday season! If you are not already a member, join the Fan Club on Facebook. We are a fun loving, friendly bunch sharing our love of all things Eileen Hull and crafting. Be sure you answer the questions when requesting to join.

Here’s a look at some of what’s been shared in the group:

Pam Bray created a fabulously festive Christmas decor banner using the Field Notes & Specimen Card Die for the base. This definitely brings the joy! You can see more details on Pam’s blog.

The designers were also looking back through past projects to share inspiration. Jennie Atkinson revisited a make from 2020 that still a perfect little gift to have on hand now. Made with several of Eileen’s dies, you can find the tutorial on Jennie’s blog.

It’s the Little Things – Make Journal Fodder with Eileen Hull Dies

22 Jun

As we know, it’s the little details that can really make a project! This June, we are focusing on using Eileen’s dies to make journal fodder – those little bits and pieces that make your journal pages sing. Let’s see what inspiration the designers have for us this week…

Jenny Marples made a huge pile of fodder using dies and Eileen’s Maker Forte stamps and then combined it to make gorgeous journal pages. It’s great to just make a stash and have it at the ready for larger projects! See all the details on Jenny’s blog post.
