Hello Eileen fans! Our overall Creative Team theme is “My Favorite Journal”. In addition, we are having some collaborations with other companies. Our UK designers are having their turn using exciting Grafix Arts speciality plastic films and sheets. USA designers are testing out Bearly Art glue. Let’s see what inspiration we have this week…
Jennie Atkinson created a mini junk journal using Eileen’s Notebook Die with Grafix Dura-Lar Prints sheets and graphics printed on their Rainbow Film. Check out her video below:
Flashback!
Lisa Hoel has one of her favorite journal projects to share. She made this one to debut Eileens color wheel collection last year. The Handbound Journal Die was used for the base and it is full of other Eileen goodness . Details here.

Each color in the color wheel got its own set of pages.

News from Eileen…
I hope you had a great weekend! My husband was out of town, so I spent my time thrifting, shopping, crafting, and cleaning. 🙂 What can I say—it was amazing! Of course, I had big plans to make lots of items for the upcoming craft show. I did manage to make a few things, but there’s still plenty on the to-do list!
On Wednesday, I’m heading up to New York for a week with Mom while my sister and BIL enjoy some well-deserved time at the beach. I’m looking forward to some special time together!
A New Way to Make Window Envelopes
I love using recycled window envelopes to decorate and add fun ephemera to my junk journals. What I don’t love is having to measure around all those different-sized windows when I want to cover the envelope with pretty paper!
I was so excited when I discovered a quicker and easier way to make them using dies I already had on hand. This technique is SO cool—and so addictive! 🙂
I hope you’ll craft along with me and give it a try. Once the envelopes are made, we’ll take them one step further with napkin decoupage. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!
You can find everything you need to make them – dies, matboard, napkins and adhesive in my Etsy shop. I have found that the Journal, Skinny Mini Book Box and Full Size Journal dies all work well with this project along with Thinlits in geometric or label shapes, like the Library Pocket, Mini Slimline, Bookmark and Pockets, Tunnel Arches, Floral Pocket and Waterfall and Tags.
I hope you were able to catch Rebecca Meier on our last livestream – she shared her new rice paper release with Joggles and they are absolutely stunning!

An artist trading card (ATC) is a tiny piece of original art. It measures strictly 2.5 by 3.5 inches, the exact same size as a standard baseball or trading card. Artists make these small cards to trade or give away for free, rather than to sell.
These are the guidelines:
- Size: Must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches to fit standard card collector sheets and sleeves. Each card should have an Eileen Hull product as a focus.
- Back Details: Please include on the back of the card: your name, date, event, number in series
- Mediums: Creators use any material they like, including paint, collage, drawing, markers, fabric, and mixed media.
- Shipping: this ATC can be sent in a standard envelope with regular postage. As long as it weighs less than an ounce, the cost to ship is the price of an .82 stamp. For reasons of economy and time, the swap will pair US with US and international with international.
- Timeline: Registration opens September 1st and goes till September 10th. On September 12th, you will receive the name of your swap buddy. You will have until September 29th to mail out your swap.
- In October, we will share our swaps in the Eileen Hull Fan Club – stay tuned for dates!
