Merry Christmas with Eileen Hull’s Sizzix Dies

24 Dec

Merry Christmas to you all! This month the Inspiration Team designers are picking their three favorite projects from the year and sharing them with all you Eileen fans. We have a few more to share this week:

Lisa Hoel had a hard time picking out only three projects! Mixed media is one of her favorite modes to work in and it shows in her makes. Visit her blog to see the details.

Elizabeth Robinson has fab set of projects for her favorites too. So lovely! She also has a blog post round up of all three so you can get a closer look. Head on over!

Merry Christmas from Eileen:

Hi friends –  I’m back from NY visiting with Mom and my sister. We had a good visit and got lots done.  Mom is doing great – I could not help but think of how she was a year ago – bedridden and on hospice. Now she is up and walking – doing puzzles, knitting, reading and part of the world again. My mother is one amazing lady!

I have a really fun project today and hope you can join me. We are creating a box of cards using the Skinny Mini Book Box die – you can find it HERE! I found a cool tool and will be using it with my gel plate to create some really pretty prints! Hope you can join me, but if not, I get it – It’s Christmas Eve! In that case, I hope you will catch me on replay.

I want to thank you all for your support and your friendship. I am so blessed to know all of you fantastic people! Also, so many thanks for our amazing and talented team who are constantly dreaming up fabulous projects and ideas to inspire us all. Sending my wishes for a happy holidays to all!

2025 is coming soon. Any ideas for things you would like to see happening in the group? Let us know in the Eileen Hull Fan Club!

Bonus Christmas projects for your inspiration!

Tonya Trantham has another bonus Christmas card to share. Using Eileen’s Plate & Pattern Layered Stencil Set and the Wreath & Snowflake Thinlits Die Set, she made this beautiful card.

We also have an extra Christmas project from Pam Bray for you too! She used the Card Caddy Die to make this festive holder for a pack of Christmas napkins. (Looks like a perfect hostess gift to me!) It would also be great for holding cookies or candy. You can find more details in her post.

What’s in the Box? – Playing with the Treasure Box Die

7 Aug

Hello there Eileen Hull fans! Our theme for the month of August is “What’s in the Box?”. We’ll be taking a closer look at the Treasure Box Die and sharing projects made with it! Unsurprisingly, this Scoreboards Die is extremely versatile and you’ll be inspired to get creating.

First up is Pam Bray with a Halloween themed treat box made by combining the Treasure Box and Card Caddy Dies. Check out Pam’s tutorial on her blog to see how she altered the Treasure Box structure to create an alternate way to open. So cool!

Sarah Lizzie used the Die to create a summer Money Box. (Do I hear the ice cream man?) She cut a slot in the top of the box so it can be used as a bank. This would be a perfect project to do with a child so they could have a bank to stash their funds in. Find all the details in her post!

Flash back project!

Back when the Treasure Box Die was first released, Lisa Hoel created a glam project fit for a king. Covered with embossing and metallic Rinea Foil Paper, it makes a statement! Check out the details here.

Come back next week for more of our “What’s in the Box?” inspiration!

Eileen is back from her teaching roadtrip! You can look forward to the resumption of her weekly live videos. Also, if you missed it last week, we have a video round up of all the June projects:

The Newest Eileen Hull Sizzix Products

20 Jun

The newest Eileen Hull products from Sizzix are here! For the first time Eileen has a layered stencil set that coordinates with her new Thinlits flower die set and the designers have been having lots of fun creating with it. Also back are some of her classic Scoreboards dies. Let’s take a look…

Here is what Eileen has to say about her new collection:

Introducing my June Sizzix release! This collection combines three classic Eileen Hull Sizzix Scoreboards dies and two new designs – a four layer stencil and coordinating Thinlits that cuts a portion of the stencil! The three Scoreboards dies are the Treasure Box, Stacking Drawer and Notebook. The fun thing about this set is that they work together but also stand alone.

The Treasure Box measures 3 1/4” x 5 1/4” x 4” and holds index cards, two stacks of ATC’s, a whole row of journaling cards and anything else you care to add.

The Stacking Drawer fits a set of three drawers perfectly inside the Treasure Box to create a great storage solution for desk supplies, hair accessories, small collections, jewelry and much more. It also makes a great little gift box for something special!

The Notebook is a favorite because of how quick and easy it is to create. One pass through the Big Shot and you have a book cover! It measures 5” x 3 1/2” x 3/4”. Cover with paper, fabric, metal or cut from leather. So many ways to use this.

The Watercolour Florals & Lattice Stencil Set is based on a watercolor I did. There are three stencil layers to give dimension and then a fourth layer versatile lattice design that can also be used to create a plaid pattern!

Painterly Blooms & Background is a die set that perfectly die cuts the flowers you have just stenciled so no fussy cutting needed plus there are extra flower shapes so you can layer them for dimensional florals.

The new dies and stencils:

Design Team projects ahead…

Sarah Lizzie created a beautiful “Summer Vibes” notebook covered in flowers made using the Watercolour Florals & Lattice Stencil Set and Painterly Blooms & Background Die Set. Those colors definitely give off a summer vibe! Find the details in her post.

It’s Box Bonanza Month with Eileen Hull Sizzix Dies!

7 Sep

Hello September! A new month equals a new theme and this time around it’s Box Bonanza month. Eileen Hull has designed many different box dies over the years so we’re excited to see what the Inspiration Team designers are going to come up with.

This week we have a strong showing of projects created using Eileen’s newest box die, the Slotted Treat Box Die. (This is a Plus size die so you need a large format machine to use it.) First up is Karen Bearse. She used it to create a box to hold all the #ICAD cards she made for a recent challenge. It holds the 4″ x 6″ cards perfectly! Find all the details on Karen’s blog.

Pam Bray combined two dies to create this clever “Bed of Candy Box”. Can you guess which ones? There is the trusty Slotted Treat Box Die as well as the Card Caddy. So much fun! This would also make a great gift. Pay Pam’s blog a visit to find out how to make one for yourself.

Designer Sarah Lizzie created a darling gingerbread house using both the Gift Box with Scallop Edges and Slotted Treat Box Dies. Super cute! She plans on filling it with cookies during the Christmas season. What a delightful gift it would make. Find the tutorial on her blog.
