“My Favorite Journal” with Eileen Hull’s Creative Team

1 Sep

Welcome to September! There is a lot going on this month. Our overall Creative Team theme is “My Favorite Journal”. In addition, we are having some collaborations with other companies. Our UK designers are having their turn using exciting Grafix Arts speciality plastic films and sheets. USA designers are testing out Bearly Art glue. Let’s take a look at our first projects…

Sarah Lizzie created this bold and colorful inspirational journal using Eileen’s Field Notes & Specimen Card Die plus Grafix Dura-Lar Prints sheets. Cool! More details here.

Pam Bray made a pretty shabby chic card using Eileen’s Stitched Hearts, Skinny Mini Elements Dies and her Lacy Leaves Embossing Folder (plus some classic flower and leaf die sets). Details here.

The precision tip on the Bearly Art glue made it easy to cleanly glue all those little bits!

News from Eileen!

Hi all! I had a whole list of things to do today, but my daughter and Thomas (6 weeks old) stopped by and we wound up going to Goodwill and catching up. And there was some baby tending going on because apparently Thomas does not share our love for thrift shops (yet) :-). I found a big wooden tray that I am going to paint and letter on for my Mom to do her puzzles on. When it’s dinner time, she can just move the tray instead of putting the puzzle away. I found another old jewelry box. Whever the kids come over, they immediately head for the jewelry boxes because they know that’s where the dress-up jewelry is.

What are your thoughts on thrifting? I’m not sure if that’s something you want to see here – can you let me know?

I am excited to say that TODAY on our livestream, we are having a Guest Designer, friend and my trade show roommate – Rebekah Meier! Rebekah has just released some new rice papers with Joggles and they are absolutely stunning! Today we will be hearing more about them and she and I will share some inspiration on the many things you can make with these papers.

Fan Club Fun!!

OFFICIAL LAUNCH!!!

We are doing an ATC SWAP! The swap will begin TODAY 🙂 Please read the info below and sign up today to be part of it. Share your art with a fellow creator.

An artist trading card (ATC) is a tiny piece of original art. It measures strictly 2.5 by 3.5 inches, the exact same size as a standard baseball or trading card. Artists make these small cards to trade or give away for free, rather than to sell.

These are the guidelines:

  • Size: Must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches to fit standard card collector sheets and sleeves. Each card should have an Eileen Hull product as a focus.
  • Back Details: Please include on the back of the card: your name, date, event, number in series
  • Mediums: Creators use any material they like, including paint, collage, drawing, markers, fabric, and mixed media.
  • Shipping: this ATC can be sent in a standard envelope with regular postage. As long as it weighs less than an ounce, the cost to ship is the price of an .82 stamp. For reasons of economy and time, the swap will pair US with US and international with international.
  • Timeline: Registration opens September 1st and goes till September 10th. On September 12th, you will receive the name of your swap buddy. You will have until September 29th to mail out your swap.
  • In October, we will share our swaps in the Eileen Hull Fan Club – stay tuned for dates!

Sign up for the swap here!

January Card Bonanza – More Greeting Card Inspiration

14 Jan

The Team this month are kicking off the year with a Card Bonanza! We always need a card or two through the year so check out our Creative Team’s inspiration through the month for birthday and other occasion cards.

This is such a great idea from Jennie Atkinson! She took a single card design and made it in four different versions. Check out her video below:

Maggi Harding has been busy too and has three different cool cards to share. You can get a closer look in her post!  (Lacy Leaves embossing folder, Tunnel Arches, Windowsill Vase & Flowers, Field Notes & Specimen Card)

Cool tri-fold design!

News from Eileen Hull…

Hi and Happy New Year to all! It has been a busy month already! We returned from our trip to Texas to visit our son and his family – so nice to catch up, see where they live and be part of their lives for a few days. We got back Saturday and then Monday I went in for my D & C. Thankfully it went well – today I feel fine and am back to normal activities 🙂

The next two months have lots going on. I just want you all to know I am allowing myself to take a break and I will not be doing two lives a week. Next week I will be up visiting Mom. At the end of January, I will be in Puerto Rico and then leaving on a cruise till February 11. Please sign up for notifications on YouTube  (click the bell) so that you will be notified when I do go live, follow me on Facebook and Instagram or watch here in the newsletter.

Join me and fellow YouTubers on the Cara Brandon Refresh Collaboration! We will be taking a look at our spaces as the New Year begins. Each artist will be sharing a look at their studio – clearing out and making it more efficient to work in. Each week follows a different theme; join us and follow along at home! Episodes are recorded so you can binge watch and clean along with us 🙂 Follow along and share your progress using: #craftspacerefresh2026

My biggest problem area is my desk because it has my computer where I film but also need space to work so it always gets cluttered up with supplies and just stuff! I will be sharing the area where I work and how it is laid out to make it workable and more efficient for me.

The ETSY SHOP is open if you need anything 🙂 Debbie is on the job!

There are some exciting changes going on which will take a little time to put in place – please be patient. I think you are going to love them ❤️

Workshop with Eileen:

Tired of the snow? Come on down and join us in Puerto Rico!

Crafting Adventures & New Team Inspiration with Eileen Hull

6 Feb

Hi friends – Susie and I are just back from a fantastic trip to Florida where we taught at Crafting at the Nest. We loved meeting everyone and being inspired by their enthusiasm and excellent crafting skills. We even got to celebrate Cindy’s (the store owner) birthday – thanks for making us feel so welcome everyone! We also have new Creative Team inspiration for you with this month’s “Anything Goes” theme.

So getting back to creating… I received a box a while ago from AdTech, one of the premier glue gun manufacturers. There’s a new model out I have been dying to test and Tuesday was the day 🙂 I share some tips and tricks I have found while making wax seals.
