News from Eileen!

Big Trip, Little Suitcase… LOTS of Craft Supplies! ✈️🎨

There’s nothing like a deadline to get things done—am I right? 😂 I leave tomorrow for a BIG trip, and suddenly my to-do list is getting checked off at record speed! Funny how that works…

And speaking of things to look forward to, look at all the fun we have coming up in November!

✨ Here’s what’s on the horizon:

  • November 10: An exciting new Eileen Hull product launch!
  • A FREE Virtual Holiday Retreat: Time to get creative together from wherever you are.
  • Our Seventh Annual Comfort & Joy Event: Can you believe it’s almost that time again?

More details are coming soon, so stay tuned!

Packing Light… or at Least Trying To! 🧳

On our last big trip, our luggage was lost for an entire WEEK, and I wore the same clothes every day. Honestly, I don’t think people really noticed! 😂 So this time, I decided to be strategic and pack fewer clothes.

Well, the space I saved by packing less clothing has been more than made up for by my craft supplies! Watercolors, stitching projects, a travel journal, and jewelry-making supplies have all made the cut so far. And who knows what inspiration might strike before I zip up that suitcase? There’s still time for a few more things to sneak in!

I’ll try to go live while I’m traveling whenever I can, so please make sure you’ve enabled notifications on my channels. That way, you’ll get an alert when I pop on!

I’m SO excited to explore Spain and Portugal for the first time. New places, new inspiration, and hopefully lots of beautiful things to see (and maybe a little shopping, too!).

Please keep your fingers crossed—and say a little prayer—for smooth travels and NO unexpected travel surprises this time! 🙏✈️

Live Video Crafting with Eileen – One Die, Two Ways

Today: Let’s Get Creative with Margaret! 🎨

Today it’s time for another live with Margaret!

👉 Watch the livestream here!

We’ll each be working with an Eileen Hull stencil of our choosing and a WILD CARD product! Sometimes it’s fun to go off script, pull out random supplies, or experiment with something you haven’t used in a while.

I find that the less pressure I put on myself, the better. Creating art is a chance to let your mind and hands wander, explore, and see where they take you—without worrying too much about how the finished project will look.

Of course, I DO want my projects to look nice! 😉 And sometimes it takes a few tries (or a few happy accidents) to get there. That’s all part of the fun!

I hope you’ll join Margaret and me to see what we come up with. Gather your favorite stencil and a wild-card supply of your own, and create along with us!

When you’re finished, share your projects in the Eileen Hull Fan Club. We love seeing what you make!

Happy creating, and I’ll see you soon—hopefully from somewhere across the pond! ❤️

In case you missed last week’s live, here’s the link to the replay! This project turned out to be one of my favorite projects I have made in a long time.

Seasonal Colors Project Inspiration with Eileen Hull Sizzix Dies

8 Oct

This month the Creative Team is digging into their past projects to share favorite “Seasonal Colors” project inspiration! Whether celebrating fall colors or spooky Halloween creations, we’ll be sure to get a big dose of creativity…

First up is a cute Halloween gift tag made by Sarah Lizzie. She used Eileen’s Windowsill, Flowers & Vase and Tunnel Arches Die Sets plus some fun Halloween bits. See how she did it here.

Lisa Hoel has a Halloween tunnel album for us. She used the Handbound Journal Die for the cover and cut all the page windows with the Tunnel Arches Die Set. You can see all the photos of the pages here.

Pages are filled with more Eileen and Tim Holtz Sizzix die cuts! She collaged the page bases with postage stamps made using Eileen’s Snail Mail, Faux Postage, and Mini Slimline & Ticket Die Sets.

We have another seasonal tunnel album by Pam Bray. Love those earthy fall colors! She used the Lacy Leaves Embossing Folder to give texture to the page backgrounds. See more in her post.

September Round Up Video:

See the September projects from the Creative Team!

Lisa Hoel finished her Space Journal – whew! She used the Handbound Journal Die for the cover and filled it full of out of this world bits and pieces. See more in her post.

News from Eileen…

This weekend we drove out to the beach to make sure our house had weathered the big storm that blew through the East Coast last weekend. Thankfully, it was fine, but the beach itself was washed away! We went to a few thrift stores and cleaned the house – a nice couple of days… I love that fall is coming. Also our big trip… we leave for Spain and Portugal on October 14th!

Last week we created a Beaded Heart Notebook using the Notebook die and Thinlits Stitched Hearts. If you missed it, you can watch here…

I love how it turned out! In Beaded Heart Notebook Part Two, we will be finishing the inside of the notebook with a cool no sew binding technique! I hope you will craft along with me – all you need is paper for the book pages, ruler, scoreboard, bone folder and glue! I’m sure you have an unfinished notebook cover somewhere – today is the perfect time to complete it!

Favorite Journals Wrap Up with Eileen Hull’s Creative Team

3 Oct

Our overall Creative Team theme for September was “My Favorite Journal”. We had a month full of inspiration! In addition, we had some collaborations with other companies. Our UK designers had their turn using exciting Grafix Arts speciality plastic films and sheets. USA designers tested out Bearly Art glue.

Jenny Marples made a super cool “Grungy Vibe” Notebook Journal for her Grafix Arts project. Love the combination of Eileen’s dies and stencils plus the Dura-Lar Prints. Check out her slide show post on Instagram!

Stencil sets Plate & Pattern and Watercolour Flowers & Lattice have been put to good use!

Slow stitching plus the Library Pocket and tags from the Ephemera Pocket & Tags die sets.

Well life got in the way and Lisa Hoel hasn’t quite finished her journal project yet. Here’s a peek – it’s retro space themed, housed in a Handbound Journal Die cover. More next week!

Favorite Journal Flashbacks!

Jennie Atkinson is sharing her lovely Autumn Arches Mini Book made with the Tunnel Arches, Windowsill Vase & Flowers and other dies sets. Check out her tutorial video below…

Lisa Hoel has a tunnel book project from the debut of Eileen’s Home Sweet Home Collection. You can find all the details and photos in her post.

News from Eileen Hull…

Last week was a little stressful—I’m not gonna lie! 😅

I had a houseful of company, we completely forgot we were babysitting and ended up with Emma (2) and Thomas (2 months) for the weekend, my basement flooded, I got sick, and my van broke down with some major issues. 😳

Then it was time to head to New York for the Garlic Festival—with a nor’easter in the forecast! I’m happy to say that it all turned out fine. I did make the trip to NY, came home a day early, and am now looking forward to a nice, boring week ahead. My only regret is missing the chance to meet up with some of you who came to say hi. 😭 My sister says I’m welcome to join her in the booth next year, so I’m hoping to do that! I realized how much I miss the excitement of creating things for a show.

Join me on the LIVE today to hear all about how it went! The people I really have to applaud are the ones who came to the Garlic Festival despite the nor’easter blowing all around us. It was pretty wild! 🌧️ But even though the weather wasn’t great, we had some wonderful chats with each other and our customers—and I got extra time with Mom and our childhood friend, Laura Lawson. ❤️ Sometimes the crazy weeks end up giving us some pretty special memories!

The truck is unloaded and I am back in my cozy studio. We will be creating several versions of a Beaded Heart Notebook using the Notebook die and Thinlits Stitched Hearts. Although my original idea didn’t turn quite as how I had envisioned, it gave me another idea to try – you know how that goes… Hope you can join me at 4:00!

April’s “Let’s Get Sewing” project inspiration!

23 Apr

The Creative Team might be exploring textiles, paper, mixed media, slow stitching, machine stitching, faux stitching… there are so many ways to create within this theme using Eileen’s dies. Let’s see what inspiration the Team has for us this week:

Lisa Hoel sewed these cute pillows for Eileen to use as decor in Daisy the trailer. The woven heart and tongues on the larger pillow were made using her Tunnel Arches Die Set. More details here!

Jenny Marples created these beautiful color wheel journal pages using the Swatch Card Stamp Set, Windowsill Vase & Flowers Die Set and Home Sweet Home Die Set. Catch her reel on Instagram to see more!

Elizabeth Robinson added this sweet little stitched felt element to the cover of a journal. Loving all those little details! You can take a closer look here. (Home Sweet Home Die Set, Tunnel Arches Die Set)

News from Eileen Hull:

Hi friends – I wanted to let you know about some things that have been going on in my life behind the scenes and I’m going to lay it all out there in this video, so I hope you can join me.

And after we do that, let’s get back to making! For some reason the Floral Bookmark & Pocket set was laying on my table and I had a new idea for a new way to use it! You can find it here in case you don’t have it.

If you missed the Craft Along last week, it turned out to be a fun one! You can watch by clicking the graphic below!

Daisy the Trailer update!

My husband is working every spare minute to get this trailer up and ready for the road. Last week the paneling went up and now he is working on building the benches! It’s so exciting to watch Daisy take shape! I have so many decorating ideas but not enough time to do them all.

Guest Designer program:

Thanks to those who have responded to my  special announcement about being featured as a Guest Designer with EH products. If you haven’t decided yet, don’t feel intimidated – you all inspire me every day with what you are creating! We have such a supportive community and would love a peek of what you are doing in your artistic journey. Here’s a little more info for you – I hope to hear from you!

14 Jan

The Team this month are kicking off the year with a Card Bonanza! We always need a card or two through the year so check out our Creative Team’s inspiration through the month for birthday and other occasion cards.

This is such a great idea from Jennie Atkinson! She took a single card design and made it in four different versions. Check out her video below:

Cool tri-fold design!

News from Eileen Hull…

Hi and Happy New Year to all! It has been a busy month already! We returned from our trip to Texas to visit our son and his family – so nice to catch up, see where they live and be part of their lives for a few days. We got back Saturday and then Monday I went in for my D & C. Thankfully it went well – today I feel fine and am back to normal activities 🙂

The next two months have lots going on. I just want you all to know I am allowing myself to take a break and I will not be doing two lives a week. Next week I will be up visiting Mom. At the end of January, I will be in Puerto Rico and then leaving on a cruise till February 11. Please sign up for notifications on YouTube  (click the bell) so that you will be notified when I do go live, follow me on Facebook and Instagram or watch here in the newsletter.

Join me and fellow YouTubers on the Cara Brandon Refresh Collaboration! We will be taking a look at our spaces as the New Year begins. Each artist will be sharing a look at their studio – clearing out and making it more efficient to work in. Each week follows a different theme; join us and follow along at home! Episodes are recorded so you can binge watch and clean along with us 🙂 Follow along and share your progress using: #craftspacerefresh2026

My biggest problem area is my desk because it has my computer where I film but also need space to work so it always gets cluttered up with supplies and just stuff! I will be sharing the area where I work and how it is laid out to make it workable and more efficient for me.

The ETSY SHOP is open if you need anything 🙂 Debbie is on the job!

There are some exciting changes going on which will take a little time to put in place – please be patient. I think you are going to love them ❤️

Workshop with Eileen:

Tired of the snow? Come on down and join us in Puerto Rico!
