Eileen’s New Dies are available for Pre-Order!

20 Aug

The scoop from Eileen…

Hi all – It is crunch time here at the EH Headquarters 🙂 I’m making samples for the Release Party, putting together supplies for the trip, moving around my studio again and doing a little babysitting before we leave for the big trip to the UK. Some things have changed as far as flying so hopefully we have all the paperwork in order.

SNEAK PEEK TIME!
Last Thursday I shared a SNEAK PEEK of my new Sizzix dies coming out September 1! It’s a really cool collection that I can’t wait to share – I hope you like it. The bundle of new dies will be available for pre-order in my Etsy shop and there’s a special deal for you, friends.

The Home Sweet Home Bundle includes three Thinlit die sets and an A-5 3D Embossing Folder. The retail price is $92 – get the bundle here for $85 PLUS FREE SHIPPING in the US, you can find it HERE! If you don’t have the Handbound Journal, you may want to get that now as this collection was designed to fit inside the book to create a tunnel book.

Live from Eileen Hull:

Today in the spirit of “Mix and Match”, our theme for the month, I am creating a customized journal for my trip to the UK coming up in two weeks! I’m using the Skinny Mini Book Box as a base and pages made from the Handbound Journal. Then I’ll add some pockets and cards using the Library Pocket. I’m thinking of decorating with text pages and some napkin decoupage… because it has been a while! BTW, I have some new napkins up in the Etsy shop!

A flat color wheel is good but a 3D one will be even better 🙂 I think these would make a good ornament or banner for your studio. I’m using the Rainbow Wheel die, Color Wheel stencil, some watercolor rejects as background and maybe some gel prints! Hope you can join me…

On the road!

The UK Roadshow starts in just a few weeks! I’ll be teaching at four stores along the way: Loobi Crafts, Country View Crafts, Amelia’s and The Mad Scrapper. There are a couple spots open to contact the store near you for a seat.

Mix & Match Inspiration with Eileen Hull’s Sizzix Dies

14 Aug

The August theme for the Team is “Mix & Match”. That means combining old and new product into exciting projects for your inspiration! Let’s see what the Creative Team designers have for us this week…

First up is Jennie Atkinson with this beautiful little journal. Jennie says, “This small journal is made from paper scraps and some of my older favourite dies. It can either standalone or, as I intended, it fits into the Handbound Journal as a flip out page.” New Dies used: Handbound Journal, Rainbow Wheel Die Set, Journal Hardware, Swatch Card Stamps

Maggi Harding created this summery Handbound Journal packed full of wonderful details. Can you spot all the Eileen dies she used in the flip through? See more details and photos here.

What is Eileen Hull up to?…

Hi all – it has been a crazy couple of weeks and this upcoming one is no exception!

On Tuesday, I shared a really cool product from Grafix Arts that I saw at Creativation. It’s a product called Dura-Lar that has a lot of interesting properties – I explored them on the live. And to make it even better, the Designer Dura-Lar Prints that I used were designed by some of my creative friends, Kassandra Louise Designs, Cat Kerr and Terri Conrad! I hope check out the replay – the sheets would work great in journals or on cards!

SNEAK PEEK TIME!

On Thursday I will finally be sharing a SNEAK PEEK of my new Sizzix dies coming out in just a few weeks on September 1! It’s a really cool one that I can’t wait to share – I hope you like it as much as I do. The bundle will be available for pre-order in my Etsy shop so stay tuned for more info on Thursday!

The UK Roadshow starts in just a few weeks! I’ll be teaching at four stores along the way: Loobi Crafts, Country View Crafts, Amelia’s and The Mad Scrapper. The store owners have graciously agreed to come on the show with me again to answer any last minute questions and updates. I just sent them a few more items that I would ask students to bring so if you are coming to class, make sure to get the updated supply list 🙂

Welcome August, It’s Time To Mix & Match with Eileen Hull!

6 Aug

Here we are at the start of a new month and the theme for the Team is “Mix & Match”. That means combining old and new product into exciting projects for your inspiration!

First up is Sarah Lizzie with this beautiful artist themed phone stand. She used Eileen’s Gift Box Die With Scalloped Edges Die for the base and decorated it with the new Rainbow Wheel Die Set. Love it! Find more details and the how to here!

Pam Bray created a cool journal using all sorts of dies from Eileen’s product line. I really like how she has a flap acting as the closure mechanism. Some of the main dies she used are the Journal Die, Notebook Die and Rainbow Wheel Die Set. See more details here.

We have an extra project from Sue Eldred! She embossed a mat for this photo to create an elegant home decor piece. Wow! Check out the tutorial in her post.

Eileen Hull news…

Hi all,

Another late night! I am packing up for my trip to OH for Stampaway and Marcos Paper and then on to NY to visit to Mom – she is turning 91 this month! I have learned so much from her. She has always loved making things and I am so grateful she has passed that along to all of her six kids. Her persistence to keep going even when things were hard, her love of family and the curiosity to try new things have all been a big inspiration to me. Happy Birthday to my amazing Mom, Maureen.

Since I leave on Thursday, there will be no scheduled Thursday live this week. I will try to post next Tuesday but not sure how that will work with Mom’s schedule. If I find something cool I may do an unscheduled live somewhere along the way. Make sure you have turned on notifications wherever you watch so you will know if I do!

I am so excited about today’s live! I have been playing around with Lindy’s Magicals and my Watercolour Flowers & Lattice stencils and figured out a way to make it look you have hand watercolored a piece of art worthy of framing! And if you take things a step further, the Painterly Blooms die will cut the flowers all in one pass so you have a set of gorgeous shimmery flowers to add to journals, cards, tags and home decor! I really hope you can join me for this – if not, you can always watch the replay.

Special Bundle Deal– Save $5 when you buy the set – Watercolour Flowers stencil AND Painterly Blooms Thinlits die!

Eileen’s Adventures at Namta & Finishing Forgotten Projects

8 Apr

For our April theme, the Creative Team designers are either finishing forgotten projects that have been sitting for a time (aka UnFinished Objects), or revisiting a project and putting a new spin on it with different dies. This should be fun! (We’d love to see you share your UFO projects in the Fan Club too.)

Maggi Harding’s UFOs are lost somewhere in the darkest depths of her craft room so she decided to do a rerun of a favorite project. She made this little sticky note holder using Eileen’s Notepad Die and Floral Pocket & Paperclips Thinlits Set. You can see more details about this handy make in her post.

Check out this quick tutorial:

Jennie Atkinson also has a “rerun” project to share. In her tutorial below, you can find out how to make a 4″ x 6″ mini book out of a single sheet of 12″ x 12″ scrapbook paper, scraps and of course Eileen’s versatile dies.

Eileen Hull happenings:

Eileen Hull is still at the Namta Art Materials Association show in Seattle, Washington. If you’ve been keeping an eye on her social media, you’ve seen that she’s been a busy lady! From demoing at the Sizzix booth to walking the show floor, we’ve gotten some good peeks at the action. Eileen will be back on Thursday for a live and maybe we’ll get some fun details.

Spring project inspiration from the Creative Team

This month the Creative Team designers are being inspired by SPRING! It’s time to create projects that celebrate the new season – from spring home decor to cards and albums. Any of Eileen’s past dies and products are fair game so let’s see what projects we have to share this week…

Maggi Harding created a scrapbook page layout highlighting a recent trip she made to Antarctica. She used the Floral Pocket & Paperclips and Alphanumeric Thinlits Die Sets plus the Plate & Pattern Layered Stencil Set. So cool! 😉

Tonya Trantham dressed up a pre-made notepad with Eileen’s dies and embossing folders. This is a great gift idea (Mother’s Day is coming!) Get a closer look in her post. Dies used: Floral Pocket & Paperclips, Bookmark, Pockets & Toppers, and the Floral Damask Embossing Folder.

Spring of course celebrates all things green and growing! Elizabeth Robinson made this lovely nature inspired junk journal using the Mini Album Die. Each page inside is a treat so head on over to her post to see it all.
