Reflecting on 2021 – Favorite Projects Roundup

Gosh Golly, it’s December! How did that happen? This has definitely been a year of great Sizzix designs from Eileen Hull (and her new stamp line!!) She really knocked it out of the park with so many of them (it’s hard to pick favorites but the Folio Journal Die and 3-D Sweater Embossing Folder are at the top of my personal list.) Anyway, this month the Team designers are taking a look back over the year and doing favorite projects roundup posts. Let’s see what inspiration they have for us today!

Putting the 3-D Sweater Embossing Folder to good use, Elizabeth Robinson created this fabulous Notepad holder. Doesn’t it look like a ‘real sweater’? Wow! She used prints made with the Gel Press as her backgrounds to emboss. Find the links to her video tutorials in her blog post!

Designer Jenny Marples created a fantastic Vintage Truck with matching Notepad in a rustic Christmas design. This set would make a great gift idea. If you want more inspiration on making trucks you are in luck! If you haven’t heard, Eileen is having a Tailgate Party. Details from Eileen as follows:

Don’t miss the Tailgate Party!

This event will stream to EHD Facebook page and YouTube channel on Wednesday, November 10 at 9:00 Pac/12:00 ET/5:00 UK. In attendance will be 3 retailers and 6 Sizzix employees from US and UK and Eileen. Therefore, you will see 10 people creating at one time because they will each be creating their version of the Vintage Truck on the Streamyard platform. You, the viewer, will be invited to craft along and there will be prizes! After the event, post a truck and use the hashtag #eileenstailgateparty; you will be entered to win the grand prize. It is going to be amazing!

For our next crafty creation we have a ‘feeling fall-ish’ birthday card made by Lisa Hoel. Inspiration Overload with Chapter 4 Dies!

Did I say that last week we had a truckload of projects for you? I should have saved that for this week! Oh my. Get a beverage and get comfy because we have complete inspiration overload coming right up with both the Inspiration and Educator Teams…

Here’s what Eileen has to say about her newly released dies,
“The Chapter 4 Sizzix Release is exciting for so many reasons – there are two never-done-before designs! One is the Full Size Journal which is a Bigz Pro size – you will need a machine with at least a 9″ throat to cut this die – like a Big Shot Plus or Pro. Not to worry, if you don’t have that machine, Eileen will have the pre-cut pieces available in her Etsy store for you to work with. The other new technology is a 3-D Embossing Folder! It’s called Sweater and is oh so cozy. Also new this release is a Bigz Notepad Die with lots of options for materials and uses, and a Heart Mandala Thinlits Die to decorate with!”

A Truckload of Sizzix Chapter 4 Inspiration!

Did you see the big Chapter 4 die release October 1st? We had a FB Live Release Party and a Blog Hop! For more Sizzix Chapter 4 inspiration, this month we are taking a closer look at the projects shared during the Hop (as well as new projects from the designers). It’s an exciting group of dies for sure! Here’s what Eileen has to say about them,

“The Chapter 4 Sizzix Release is exciting for so many reasons – there are two never-done-before designs! One is the Full Size Journal which is a Bigz Pro size – you will need a machine with at least a 9″ throat to cut this die – like a Big Shot Plus or Pro. Not to worry, if you don’t have that machine, Eileen will have the pre-cut pieces available in her Etsy store for you to work with. The other new technology is a 3-D Embossing Folder! It’s called Sweater and is oh so cozy. Also new this release is a Bigz Notepad Die with lots of options for materials and uses, and a Heart Mandala Thinlits Die to decorate with!”

A Closer Look at New Chapter 4 Dies!

Did you see the big Chapter 4 die release last Friday? We had a FB Live Release Party an a Blog Hop! This week we are taking a closer look at some of the projects shared during the Hop. I have to tell you it’s an exciting group of dies for sure! Here’s what Eileen has to say about them,

One of my favorites from Eileen’s new releases is the Sweater 3-D Embossing Folder. The level of detail you get is just incredible! Susie Bentz made these beautiful clean and simple holiday cards featuring the sweater embossing in the background. The trees are cut using Eileen’s Vintage Truck Die. I love the warm farmhouse feel of these and it would be easy to make multiples to send out for Christmas. See Susie’s tutorial to learn how!
