Eileen’s Adventures at Namta & Finishing Forgotten Projects

For our April theme, the Creative Team designers are either finishing forgotten projects that have been sitting for a time (aka UnFinished Objects), or revisiting a project and putting a new spin on it with different dies. This should be fun! (We’d love to see you share your UFO projects in the Fan Club too.)

Maggi Harding’s UFOs are lost somewhere in the darkest depths of her craft room so she decided to do a rerun of a favorite project. She made this little sticky note holder using Eileen’s Notepad Die and Floral Pocket & Paperclips Thinlits Set. You can see more details about this handy make in her post.

Jennie Atkinson also has a “rerun” project to share. In her tutorial below, you can find out how to make a 4″ x 6″ mini book out of a single sheet of 12″ x 12″ scrapbook paper, scraps and of course Eileen’s versatile dies.

Eileen Hull is still at the Namta Art Materials Association show in Seattle, Washington. If you’ve been keeping an eye on her social media, you’ve seen that she’s been a busy lady! From demoing at the Sizzix booth to walking the show floor, we’ve gotten some good peeks at the action. Eileen will be back on Thursday for a live and maybe we’ll get some fun details.

Collaboration with Gel Press & Eileen Hull

Happy New Year! Eileen Hull and the Teams are busily engaged in a collaboration with Gel Press this month to see what magic can be made when both products are combined. The fabulous Karen Bearse has a treat for you! Not only has she created a wonderful collaged journal for your inspiration, she also made two Gel Press printing video tutorials which are posted on her YouTube channel. Karen’s favorite journal die is the Full Sized Journal Die – plenty of real estate in that one!

Inspiration Team designer Julia Aston created some beautiful (and useful) desk calendars using Eileen’s Display Stand Die. She’s a newbie at gel printing but I’d say she was quite successful! Julia has advice for other ‘new to gel printing’ folks and a tutorial on her blog that you won’t want to miss.

Making for the Holidays with Eileen Hull

Designer Jenny Marples created a fantastic Vintage Truck with matching Notepad in a rustic Christmas design. This set would make a great gift idea. Hello, the holidays are upon us! This month Eileen’s design teams are showing us all sorts of seasonal makes made with her ever versatile products. Inspiration Overload with Chapter 4 Dies!

Did I say that last week we had a truckload of projects for you? I should have saved that for this week! Oh my. Get a beverage and get comfy because we have complete inspiration overload coming right up with both the Inspiration and Educator Teams…

Here’s what Eileen has to say about her newly released dies,
“The Chapter 4 Sizzix Release is exciting for so many reasons – there are two never-done-before designs! One is the Full Size Journal which is a Bigz Pro size – you will need a machine with at least a 9″ throat to cut this die – like a Big Shot Plus or Pro. Not to worry, if you don’t have that machine, Eileen will have the pre-cut pieces available in her Etsy store for you to work with. The other new technology is a 3-D Embossing Folder! It’s called Sweater and is oh so cozy. Also new this release is a Bigz Notepad Die with lots of options for materials and uses, and a Heart Mandala Thinlits Die to decorate with!”
