Festive Sparkle & Shine Projects with Eileen Hull

16 Nov

We are definitely into the holiday making season and we have more festive Sparkle & Shine projects to share with you. The team has been very busy and there is a lot to share so get comfy!

Comfort & Joy Event in the Fan Club!

There are a couple of days left for our Comfort & Joy event. Eileen and the team have been sharing tips, techniques, videos or posts each weekday… so keep an eye out! The event is exclusive to the Eileen Hull Fan Club members – we wanted to do something special for you because you are so supportive all year long.

The Comfort & Joy Kickoff event was a huge hit! I think we all had a lot of fun and there were enough project ideas to inspire us for the next ten years! If you missed it, don’t worry – you can still purchase the event! For $20, you can still be part of the event and watch all of the workshops when it’s convenient for you! Buy it HERE. After you pay, check your email for a PDF download. In it you will find the name of the private Facebook group where the event is housed. Request to join the group and Eileen will admit you.
Wishing you comfort and joy always,
Eileen and team

Now on to the festive Sparkle & shine inspiration…

Jenny Marples cleverly used the Geometric Box Die to create a mini triangular accordion bound book. What?? Such a great ‘out of the box’ idea for using this die! Jenny decorated the little book with glimmery and glittery elements for that perfect touch of sparkle and shine. Find out how to make one yourself on her blog.

Designer Tonya Trantham has a glitzy fall decor piece to share. She used the Geometric Box Die also to create a pumpkin box. I love the gold foil polka dots on the paper and that rhinestone button flower center. Festive sparkle & shine indeed! Head on over to Tonya’s blog to see all the details.

Elizabeth Robinson is rocking the foiled paper as well with her Geometric Box make! It adds such a lovely bit of shine. That gold flower on the front (made with the Sunflower Die) is fab! Her glam box fits right in with her holiday decor and hides a scent diffuser. See more on her blog.

Looking Back at Favorite Projects of 2021

15 Dec

This month the Team designers are looking back at favorite projects from 2021 and sharing their picks with us! Eileen Hull’s versatile products really let our creativity shine! Let’s see what inspiration is in store for us today…

Tonya Trantham picked her top three favorites and I know you will agree! One was this beautiful shabby chic pickup made using the Vintage Truck Die. I love how she used patterned paper and flowers to decorate it! See the details and Tonya’s other projects in her blog post.

Tonya also has a bonus tutorial for us – a delightful card made using Eileen’s 3-D Sweater Embossing Folder and the Mitten Die. It’s quick to make but looks like you spent a lot of time on it. Check out Tonya’s tutorial here.

Continuing the “How do I choose only three projects?” trend, Elizabeth Robinson pulled it off and presents us with three absolutely lovely makes. Two are journals and one is special Vintage Truck & Camper trailer combo. Don’t miss her write up and the inspiration in her blog post!

The picks of designer Jenny Marples are some of my favorites of hers too! (Especially those ornaments!) I always love Jenny’s artful mixed media approach to her work. These favorites are no exception and you can see more details and links back to the original tutorials on her blog.

Journals Inspired by Nature

2 Sep

Welcome to September! As you know, a new month means a new theme here on the blog. This month we are taking a look at journals inspired by nature! Additionally, the Teams have been challenged to use dies that aren’t normally considered “journal dies”. Let’s see what inspiration they have for us this week!

First up we have Karen Bearse with her fabulous winter themed nature journal. She used the Mitten Die to create a gate fold cover that perfectly matches the theme of the mini album. The whole album is full of delightful details and mixed media goodness. Be sure to head on over to Karen’s blog post and see all the step out photos for this make!

Designer Pam Bray created a sweet nature themed desk set using the popular Vintage Truck Die. Flowers and butterflies combine to create a lovely shabby chic look! Pam also stocked her desk set with a matching notebook and other office supplies. What a cute addition to your office decor. Details can be found on Pam’s blog!

A little mini journal inspired by nature resides inside the lid (to be revealed in Part 2!) Check out Lisa’s blog for details.

Epic Christmas in July Post!

29 Jul

Is it really the end of July? We’ve been keeping cool all month with lots of fantastic makes using Eileen Hull’s newest Sizzix dies, the Snowman and Mitten Box. Today we’re going to wrap it up with an epic Christmas in July post full of festive projects!

Get comfy and grab a beverage…

because there are so many to share! First up we have Elizabeth Robinson’s clever creation using the Snowman Die – she used it to make a holder for her glasses! I love it! It’s a great landing spot for things that get easily mislaid. You could use something like this for your phone or car keys too. Elizabeth shares the details of her Snowman Die hack on her blog.
