For Eileen Hull Fans – Holiday Comfort & Joy Event


The Comfort & Joy event for Eileen Hull fans in the Facebook group has been packed with inspiring content! This is our fourth annual Comfort & Joy which started during the pandemic as a way to stay connected throughout the holidays even though we were separated from family and friends. Now it’s an Eileen Hull Fan Club tradition! Have you been following along and getting ideas?

The team has been creating with holidays recipes that include an Eileen Hull die or product! Keep in mind “recipes” can include anything – actual baked goods, journals, banners, tags, cards, home decor, gift wrap and gifts to give and sell. …like fabulous embroidery stitched by Jenny Marples! Wowsers, love this. She used Eileen’s dies (Starlit Village and Envelope, Folder & Flowers) to cut out felt shapes and then embellished them with stitching and beads. Awesome! See more on her blog and of course in the Fan Club.

Lisa Hoel used several of Eileen’s die sets (like the Journaling Card, Envelope & Windows) to make a set of Christmas gift tags and gift card holders. These will be really useful next month! More details will be shared in the Fan Club and on her blog post.

Look at this “Santa’s Letter Box” created by Sue Eldred! What a wonderful idea and such a great holiday decor piece. She used the Slotted Treat Box Die and patterned Christmas papers to make it. See more on her blog.

More Project Inspiration with New Eileen Hull Dies

Chapter 3 Tutorials Using Eileen Hull’s Newest Sizzix Dies

Did you catch the Live Release Party last week? As usual, it was loads of fun and inspiration overload! The designers really outdid themselves with this new collection. We’re continuing on with a closer look at the Chapter 3 tutorials for all their great makes so scroll on…

2023 Chapter 3 Release for Eileen Hull - New Sizzix Die collection! #eileenhull #teameileen #sizzix #mysizzixstory

Here is what Eileen has to say about her new collection:

The Bigz Plus* Slotted Treat Box Die measures 6 1/2” x 5” x 3 1/2” and can hold so many things – a set of cards, journals, doll clothes, ephemera storage or you can even use it as a gift box! This is a Scoreboards die which is specially designed to cut and score thick material like matboard, chipboard, leather, felt, fabric and metal. *A 9” wide machine is required to cut this die.

The Field Notes and Specimen Card Die is a Bigz XL die that holds 5” x 7” pages or photos – a new orientation! The Specimen Card may be used to hold photos, as a journaling card or a shaker. Holes are pre-cut into the book spine which is adjustable from 1/2” to 1 1/2 in width. *XL Cutting Pads will be needed to cut the book cover.

The Envelope, Folder & Flowers Thinlits Die Set is made up of nine dies – an adorable mini envelope, file folder, set of small, medium and large hearts, and a large and small flower and leaf set. This die set will be perfect to create ephemera using your scraps!

The Keys 3D Embossing Folder is special to me. The keys all came from my Dad’s house. The names on the keys had to be removed because of possible copyright issues, but I love the idea of stamping or writing words on them. The detail on this is beautiful and I can’t wait to add Luster Wax to make the design pop!

Designer Sue Eldred used the Envelope, Folder & Flowers Thinlits Die Set to make an absolutely adorable little Christmas ornament! I can see this used as a tag for a gift as well. Super cute! Find the how to in Sue’s post.

Combining dies both old and new, Tonya Trantham crafted a sweet little home decor piece. Look at all those lovely layers! The base is made using the Shadow Box Frames #1 Thinlits Die Set and she decorated it using the new Envelope, Folder & Flowers Thinlits Die Set and Snail Mail Die plus patterned paper from P13.
