Hello Eileen Hull fans! Did you miss last week’s new die release party and blog hop? If so, be sure to go back and feast your eyes on all the festive makes! Christmas in July continues this week and we have more cool Yuletide projects for your inspiration. The Inspiration Team is definitely inspired by Eileen’s new Snowman and Mitten Box Dies. I also know there are two people who will soon get to play with them. Eileen announced the blog hop winners today in her Facebook Live!

The Winners are…

Nickie Rollins and Meghan Kenihan! Nickie won the Snowman Die and Meghan won the Mittens Box Die. Congratulations ladies. You have fun crafty times ahead of you! Now, let’s take a look at the new Inspiration Team projects as we plunge ahead with more Christmas in July festivities.

First up we have Julia Aston with a cute Mitten Box project. I love the sentiment – isn’t this perfect for housing treats to give as a gift? Julia has a tutorial on her blog so be sure to check that out.

June Journals and Belagio Cork Fabric

10 Jun

We are continuing our month of June Journals and the collaboration with Belagio to use their unique, versatile cork fabric. The team is really enjoying working with it! Durable and user friendly, the fabric can be easily die cut, sewn by machine, combined with fabric, paper or pretty much any substrate you can think of. Thin sheets of real cork are laminated to a fabric backing so it is very flexible and durable. It’s perfect for covering three dimensional projects like boxes, books, and home decor pieces. Additionally, you can also use it to create 3D flowers and other embellishments… Living up to the Belagio motto: You are only limited by your imagination – this fabric will expand your creative possibilities!

So, what does the team have for us today?

Why another quartet of fabulous journals for you to feast your eyes upon! Take a look at this beautiful Pocket Notebook journal made by Maggi Harding. The elegance of the cork fabric really shines through. The insides of the journal are elaborately embellished so you won’t want to miss the video flip through on Maggi’s blog post.

Created using the Passport Book Die, Lisa Hoel’s sweet little firefly journal is a gift for a new baby in the family. It will be a special place to record all of the baby’s firsts and new family memories made. As part of the design, Lisa layered different patterns of the cork fabric and can attest that it does indeed die cut and stitch up wonderfully. See her blog for the full tutorial and more photos.
