More September Top Drawer Inspiration!

19 Sep

This month the Inspiration Team is focusing on using Eileen’s Stacking Drawer Die in their artistic endeavors. As you will see, this versatile die can be configured in all sorts of ways to construct creative makes as well as using it on its own. (It also fits perfectly inside the Treasure Box.) Let’s see the top drawer inspiration for this week…

Designer Elizabeth Robinson has holiday gift giving on her mind with this little Stacking Drawer gift box. Her quick and easy instructions will allow you to make several of these in short order for all your small item Christmas gifting needs. Check it out in her post.

For another gift box idea, check out this flashback project from Jenny Marples. As you can see, it’s a totally different look but is equally perfect for packaging a gift. Find the details on Jenny’s blog here.

Here’s an idea for using multiple drawers together. In another flashback project, Lisa Hoel stacked three drawers together to create this top drawer inspiration. It’s decorated with a combination of stamping and stenciling plus there is a surprise in the bottom. Check it out here!

Have you been following along with the #12DaysofSizzix event on Instagram? Each day through the 24th of September is a different Christmas theme and the projects have been amazing! Here is one Tonya Trantham shared for Day 7, Last Minute Gifts. She used two Stacking Drawers put together and decorated a wrap that went around both. Find out how to make this here.

Bonus project…

Tonya Trantham also has a bonus project to share – part 2 of a “What’s in the Box?” make from last month. She shows how to make the journal that fits inside of her Treasure Box. Check out the tutorial!

Come back next week for more of our “Top Drawer” inspiration!

More Chapter 3 Project Inspiration with Eileen Hull Dies

21 Jul

This month we are celebrating Eileen Hull’s Die release with Chapter 3 project inspiration! Did you catch the Release Party & Blog Hop at the beginning of the month? We had a fun time (watch the replay) and the Blog Hop was packed full of inspiring makes from the Teams! Eileen has three new dies in her Chapter 3 release:

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Ch-3-die-lineup-graphic-1024x783.jpg

Here’s what Eileen has to say about her new dies:
“Celebrate every day with these versatile Chapter 3 Sizzix dies! Although themed as a holiday collection, just think of how many ways you can decorate these dies to celebrate every season of the year, simply by changing out the paper and colors! The Truck and Camper pair are a match made in heaven. Set it on the mantel, (paired with the Camper die!), hang on the tree, fill with treats or create your holiday cards with them. The Ornament Box may be used several ways – use the circle shapes separately as ornaments or build up the sides and add treats, snacks and gifts. Decorate the box with elements from the Thinlits Wreath & Snowflake dies or use those elements in your journals, tags, pages and pockets! You will want them all!”

New Chapter 3 Project Inspiration ahead…

Designer Jenny Marples is ramping up the glam factor in this trio of Christmas ornaments made with the Ornament Box and Thinlits Wreath & Snowflake Set. All I can say is WOW! These are drop dead gorgeous and you will not want to miss her detailed tutorial on how to make these stunners.
