Crafting Seasons’ Greetings Inspiration

11 Nov

We are getting well into the holiday season now. Here in the USA Thanksgiving is in about two weeks! All this month on the blog, Eileen Hull’s Teams are crafting hard to bring Seasons’ Greetings inspiration to you! Last week we kicked it off with some festive makes from the Inspiration Team and it continues on with this week’s projects. Let’s take a look…

Time to get crafty!

Julia Aston created a beautiful stand to hold photos of holiday memories using Eileen’s Display Stand Die. The festive patterned paper and darling little trees and deer really make this project special. See Julia’s blog post for all the details and instructions!

Julia Aston for Eileen Hull - Crafting Seasons' Greetings with Sizzix #eileenhull #mymakingstory #ehinspirationteam

Designer Mitsyana Wright used Eileen’s new Teacup Die to create this absolutely adorable Christmas card. Just because a die is a Scoreboards die, you don’t have to use it only to make 3-D projects. As Mitsyana shows us, you can use them to cut patterned paper and use the elements on things like cards! See all the details in her blog post.

Mitsyana Wright for Eileen Hull - Crafting Seasons' Greetings with Sizzix #eileenhull #mymakingstory #ehinspirationteam

Stitching up some Christmas cuteness is Susie Bentz! She was inspired to turn a card design she previously made into felt Christmas Snowman Mitten ornaments. Eileen’s steel rule dies make short work of cutting heavier substrates! You will not want to miss Susie’s instructions and variations in her blog post. Head on over to check it out.

Susie Bentz for Eileen Hull - Crafting Seasons' Greetings with Sizzix #eileenhull #mymakingstory #ehinspirationteam

Keep going, more Seasons’ Greeings crafting inspiration follows…

Maggi Harding also created some beautiful Christmas cards using Eileen’s dies. Who wouldn’t want to receive one of these in the mail? The mitten card has a slot for a gift card and the snowman card is a step out card (love that card format!) See Maggi’s blog post for the details and many more photos!

In our final set of cards for the week, Jenny Marples has some delightful snowman cards to share with us. I really love the atypical color scheme that she chose. It pays to have a stash of leftover papers and scraps from previous projects! See Jenny’s blog post for tips on using that stash to jump start your card making.

Seasons’ Greetings with Eileen Hull

4 Nov

Hello there Fans and happy November. As usual, a new month means a new theme and this month it is Seasons’ Greetings with Eileen Hull! All month long the Inspiration and Educator Teams are going to look to the upcoming holidays and seasons for their creative makes using her dies. Whatever your jam is, you are sure to find some inspiration of your own if you pay the blog a visit each week!

Let’s see what the Team has for us today…

Designer Pam Bray got to spend some well deserved time in her craft room and she created some beautiful Thanksgiving projects. She is a magic worker with gorgeous patterned paper! I love those colors and the sunflowers. See more photos and tips on her blog.

Pam Bray for Eileen Hull – Seasons' Greetings with Eileen Hull and her versatile Sizzix dies!

Lisa Hoel was feeling stitchy so she used Eileen’s Snowman Box and House Ornament Dies to cut out felt pieces and sewed up some sweet little Christmas ornaments. Wouldn’t these make great gifts for the holidays? Check out her blog post for tips and tricks. And just how big is her ribbon and trim stash? Do we really want to know?

Lisa Hoel for Eileen Hull – Seasons' Greetings with Eileen Hull and her versatile Sizzix dies!

I am so impressed with Karen Bearse’s commitment and preparation for the December Daily challenge! She created an organizer for the event so she can hit the ground running and document all her holiday doings. Wow! She used several of Eileen’s dies to build it and it looks so festive. You will definitely want to investigate Karen’s tutorial on her blog to get all the nitty gritty details.

Teacup & Post Box Projects from the Educator Team!

28 Oct

Well, here we find ourselves in the last week of October. Wow! It has been a month full of inspiring creations made using Eileen Hull’s newest Sizzix Dies. This week’s post will feature Teacup and Post Box projects from the Educator Team. As usual, we’ll see a wide range of styles and themes because Eileen’s dies are the perfect blank canvases to showcase your own brand of creativity.

What Eileen says about her two new dies:

I had so many requests for the teacup die (retired a couple of years ago) that I designed a new one for you – the Teacup, 3D & Spoon! What is different about it? This is a Bigz L die (which means a lower price point!), and features a spoon (new), teabag label (could be used as a teeny tiny book!) and insert piece.

Chapter 4 Eileen Hull/Sizzix Release Party Blog Hop

This XL ScoreBoards Post Box die was designed to work as a mini mailbox. The slot will allow a gift card/credit card to go through. It would be a fun way to decorate a gift card box for the holidays. And did I mention that assembling this die takes about 10 seconds? Seriously!

What Teacup & Post Box treats does the Educator Team have in store for us? Scroll on…

Designer Betsy Skagen used her own line of rubber stamps to artfully decorate her Christmas Wish Post Box project. I love the thought behind this wish box and the vintage styling gives you a warm nostalgic feeling. Betsy has more photos and a tutorial on her blog so be sure to check that out.

Educator Team member Sarah Lizzie also found festive inspiration for her Teacup and Post Box projects. She is sharing the tutorial for these makes that first made their appearance in the kick off Blog Hop Release Party at the beginning of the month. All the holiday touches really get you in the mood for Christmas!
