You Can Get Organized in Style Using Eileen’s New Sizzix Dies

5 Feb

Hello and welcome to February! This week, the Inspiration Team will show some clever projects made with Eileen Hull’s new Sizzix Dies that can help you get organized in style.

First up we have Maggi Harding’s beautiful recipe card holder she made using the new Sizzix Display Stand Die. She solved her problem of recipe cards getting messed up in the kitchen in a most delightful way. Check out her blog post for all the details!

Projects like these make great gifts too!

Karen Bearse put a clever twist on this card organizer by thinking “out of the box”. Using the Gift Box with Scallop Edges Die, she arranged the die cut pieces in a new way (plus added a dollop of yummy mixed media goodness)! Head to her blog to read the tutorial.

Finally, we have a pretty photo display stand that Pam Bray created with the new Display Stand Die combined with the Trinket Box Die – a favorite die from two years ago. Do you have photo prints stuck in a drawer or scattered around your desk, possibly being used as bookmarks? (maybe…) Display them properly with Pam’s photo frame! She has a great tutorial on her blog.

What’s New in 2020 with Eileen Hull!

1 Jan

Well, it’s a new decade for one thing! Welcome to 2020! For another thing, Eileen Hull has NEW DIES that will debut at Creativation in a few weeks! Ch. 2 is top secret but we can share Ch. 1 projects with you now. The Inspiration Team is hard at work creating wonderful, fabulous samples using Eileen’s new die designs.

Prepare to have your socks knocked off!

The first die we’re going to look at is the Scoreboards Display Stand. This is a highly versatile die that can fold flat for transport and mailing. The possibilities are endless and wait until you see all the ideas the Team is coming up with for its use! First let’s look at a few makes from Jenny Marples.

Tired of propping up your phone on the nearest coffee mug when you want to watch a video? The Display Stand can remedy that! Look at this fabulous phone stand Jenny created with the die:

This is how to prop in style!

Jenny also used the same Display Stand die to create a holder for a beautiful necklace. Can you imagine giving jewelry as a gift with a stand like this? It’s double the wow factor. Check out Jenny’s blog post featuring both of these amazing projects.

Karen Bearse has created a wonderful snow themed stand glistening with winter magic. Imagine propping up a favorite season appropriate photograph on it or Christmas cards. Such fun! Be sure to visit Karen’s blog post and find out all her tips and tricks for constructing it.

The second of Eileen Hull’s Ch. 1 release dies is the Gift Box with Scallop Edges. (But really, does it only have to be a gift box? I think not!) Again, it is another versatile die with many uses! Julia Aston created a darling party decor kit for a child’s birthday. Love the circus theme!! Check out her blog post to see how she did it and where she found the cute graphics.

Christmas is Just About Here…

18 Dec

Is it time to panic? I must admit I’m feeling a bit rushed with all the “to do” on my to do list. And there are still Christmas crafting projects I have in my head that I want to make. At least the web is full of crafty inspiration for us, even if we can’t find all the craft time we need for ourselves. (Crafting vicariously? Is that a thing?) It just so happens that we have a load of inspiration right here, right now…

Cue the super awesome Inspiration Team and their crafty goodness!

First we have a delightful December Daily Journal from Tonya Trantham. I love that snowman couple with the retro flair! Check out Tonya’s blog post where she gets real about her daily December life. Plus there is pom-pom trim. You want to see it – seriously.

Secondly, Jenny Marples has created a fabulously marvelous felt embroidered journal. Wow! Head on over to her blog post to read all about the story behind this gorgeous creation.

Anna-Karin Evaldsson did a favorite Eileen Hull projects of 2019 round up for our viewing enjoyment. You will ohh and ah over all her fabulous projects (five of them). My personal favorite is this birch trees journal but the embossed cover notebooks is a close second.

Halloween Stacking Treat Boxes

21 Oct

How about creating a few of these Halloween stacking treat boxes? Team member Pam Bray designed the project using her favorite spooky paper collection by Authentique.  Use these boxes for parties, gifts and candy!

BOO!

It’s hard to believe it’s already time to think about Halloween…

Here’s how Pam created a few of Eileen Hull’s Stacking Drawer Boxes from Sizzix using Halloween paper and Xyron Creative Station Lite with Permanent Adhesive.

Supplies:

Sizzix/Eileen Hull Stacking Boxes

Sizzix Matboard

Diamond Press Halloween Border Die

Xyron Creative Station Lite with Permanent Adhesive

Authentique Nightfall Paper Collection

Small Metal Knob

Black Ink

Pop Dots

Begin by die cutting a couple of the Stacking Drawer Boxes.

Shape boxes, cover with pattern paper.

Decorate front of Stacking Drawer Boxes with stickers and metal knobs.

Stamp and die cut images using black ink.

Adhere stickers to prepared Stacking Drawer Boxes.

Fussy cut stamped pumpkins add to top of Stacking Drawer Boxes  with pop dots.

Fill with your favorite candy, gift card, note, mini album, etc.

Enjoy! Pam
