New Chapter 2 Dies From Eileen Hull

Did you see the new Chapter 2 dies Release Party last week? There were so many projects to share it was inspiration overload! Eileen’s Teams are now writing up the tutorials for their makes and you’re in for a treat. Here is what Eileen has to say about her new dies,

“Introducing the Chapter 2, 2023 Eileen Hull/Sizzix collection! You will love this set of dies! It is so versatile and works side by side your other journal dies and may be combined in endless combinations. There are three dies in the set: the Card Case, Mini-Slimline & Tickets and Journaling Card, Envelope & Windows. Buy all three dies from my etsy store and get FREE SHIPPING on your order in the US PLUS save an additional $10! Cost to buy dies individually is $122 – buy the bundle and pay only $112. Outside US, I will deduct $10 from shipping.

2023 Chapter 2 Release Die Descriptions:

The Card Case is a Bigz XL ScoreBoards die. This die is specially designed to cut and score thick material up to 1/16″ like matboard, chipboard, leather, felt and fabric so your finished project is nice and sturdy. The finished Card Case die measures 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and has an adjustable spine that goes from 1/2″ to 2 1/2″. This is the perfect size journal to hold your 3″ x 4″ journaling cards, as well as other small items like wallet photos, ATCs and ephemera. There is a swing out flap on each side where you can add pockets or small insert books- you decide what combination you want to do. Make the spine thick or thin – your choice!

The Journaling Card, Envelope & Windows Die Set has 6 pieces – an envelope, 3″ x 4″ Journaling Card, three window cutouts (use with envelope to remove and back with glassine like a window envelope) and a tab. The Envelope measures 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and fits perfectly inside the Journal! Or use it by itself and add your favorite ephemera pieces.

The Mini-Slimline & Tickets Die design is similar to the Snail Mail die, which was very popular for creating faux postage stamps. There are four dies in the set – one is the size of a mini slimline card and one is a mat that may be placed behind the perforated piece. The other two pieces are a row of tickets and mat that goes behind that. When you fold over each perforated piece and tear it, it creates individual faux postage stamps and tickets! Die cut the piece from patterned paper for an amazing background – just add a sentiment and let the paper do the work.

Fancy Folio Journals – Get Inspired!

Have we really reached the end of March? Wow! All month long the Inspiration and Educator Teams have been busily creating using Eileen’s latest Chapter 1 Sizzix Dies – the ScoreBoards Folio Journal Die, coordinating Folio Page, Pockets and Flower Thinlits set and the Mandala Thinlits die. We have some very fancy Folio journals to share with you this week so scroll on!

All I can say is, “Super chunky!!” to describe this fantastic Folio journal made by Jennie Atkinson. Gosh golly that is cool!! She made it to house some of her favorite ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) so appropriately she mounted an ATC on the cover and the spine as well. Her blog post is full of photos and a flip through video as well so check it out!

Sue Eldred’s fancy Folio journal is actually a clever holder for stationery. Wouldn’t this make a wonderful gift? (Mother’s Day is coming!) Her delightful Folio project says spring and is a great way to utilize a favorite patterned paper collection. After a long and laborious month sewing away, designer Lisa Hoel finished her embroidered stitchery kit Folio. The structure of the journal is actually fabric and ultra firm stabilizer and sewn together. Be sure to visit her blog to see all the detail photos and a tutorial. Welcome to September! As you know, a new month means a new theme and this month we are going to celebrate the great outdoors in all its varied facets. From your backyard garden to the wilds, we are going to see it all! Eileen Hull’s dies are perfectly versatile “blank canvases” that you can adapt to any theme. Journals galore, gift containers, organizers, treat boxes – if you can imagine it, one of Eileen’s Sizzix dies can most likely help you to make it! I am really looking forward to seeing what nature inspired projects the Inspiration and Educator Teams dream up for September. Designer Julia Aston really got into the spirit of celebrating the great outdoors by creating a whole campsite! This marvelous scene has it all, a trailer, campfire, flora, fauna and a river that runs through it all. Wow! She cleverly used the Gift Box Die to create the backdrop. Julia has a tutorial and a ton of detail photos in her blog post so do not miss out on seeing that.

New Pocket Notebook Die Wrap-up!

More wonderful Pocket Notebook projects:

October has been a month full of inspirational makes using my new Pocket Notebook Die. The Inspiration Team has really been knocking it out of the park! After our Kick-off Blog Hop Party, each week has shown us that the Pocket Notebook is a extremely versatile die and the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. This week we have four more to show you as the month winds down to a close.

First off we have a beach-y journal from Julia Aston. Is she already dreaming of a winter get-away to a tropical location? I love how she used my House Ornament Die to cut the piece for the little beach hut on the front of the journal. The ribbon binding is very clever as well. Be sure to check out her tutorial to see which of my other dies she was able use as well… you might be surprised!

Ahh, sunset on the beach…

Tonya Trantham got into the swing of things with this darling vintage baseball notebook. I think the World Series is a perfect time of year to create a baseball themed journal. Go Team! Tonya made hers the full spine width so it can hold five signatures.

Tonya also has another Notebook to share with us. This is a cover that she created for Eileen to take with her on her UK Paper Trail. This is a globe-trotting project folks!
