Summer Inspiration with New Eileen Hull Products

7 Aug

It sure is hot here in Virginia! I hope you can find some summer inspiration with new Eileen Hull products (in your air-conditioned craft room)! Take a look at what the Inspiration Team has come up with this week.

The dies we are working with are the Sizzix House Ornament and Gift Card Folder and Label #2

Check with your local scrapbook store to see if they carry them.

Summer Inspiration by the Team

Pam Bray made this frosty Memories Gift Card Holder and Label Mini Album using the Gift Card and Label 2 die,  Clearsnap inks, Molten Dimensions embossing powders and Authentique papers. Why do I have a craving for hot chocolate?   http://www.pammejoscrapbookflair.com/2019/07/memories-gift-card-holder-and-label.html

Julia Aston made this exquisite Cottage by the Sea using the House Ornament die. A simple tear in the paper led her down a whole different path and I LOVE how this came out!

Julia was on a roll! She also made this thoughtful An Evening to Yourself Gift Card Folder, giving the gift of babysitting for the receiver. She added lots of cool techniques with Blends2, Molten Dimensions and the Pansy flower die.  I can’t wait to try them all!

This colorful Tutti-Frutti Business Card Holder was created by Tonya Trantham. I love how she used a piece of matboard to make a stand for the Gift Card Folder.

While we were at the beach, Susie Bentz made this fun Silly Walks Art Piece with the House Ornament die as the base. See how Susie constructed it- great tips!

Thanks so much for checking out the summer inspiration with new Eileen Hull products by the team- they are awesome!

New Sizzix Chapter 3 Eileen Hull Release

19 Jul

It’s time for the new Sizzix Chapter 3 Eileen Hull release! Today we are taking a look at the House Ornament- which is not just for the holidays by the way…

About the House Ornament

We moved around a lot when I was little and then I married a military man and moved some more. I love finding a house and adding special touches that make it our home. Home is comfort, stability and where everything starts. And ends, by the looks of my studio! Since this Chapter 3 release focuses on the holiday season, the idea of making a house as a Christmas ornament appealed to me. But of course, there are so many other ways to use it…

It is a ScoreBoards die, designed to cut and score thick material like matboard and chipboard. As you will see in the following projects, you can decorate this little house in numerous ways! You will need to cut two of the base pieces and trim off the floor of one of them. I adhere my house together with  Therm O Web Red Liner tape to make sure that it stays together. One of my favorite parts of the die are two teeny tiny house shaped tags that I can’t wait to make a little book from <3

Here is a recent Facebook Live show where I cut recycled cardboard and created a shabby beach house, embossing it with my new Emerald Creek Molten Dimensions embossing powders. I love how these turned out and want to make a whole set. I think they would be cute to hang in a little tree or maybe create a little vignette under glass and surround with sand. It’s fun to think of ways to use it! I know at the holidays it would be adorable with a battery tealight inside to set on a holiday table or maybe to give a special gift in. Stay tuned – I’m sure we will have lots of ideas for you!

And now for the Team’s samples…

Pam Bray made an adorable Mixed Media House Ornament and Tag Album. She decorated the house with her very own stamps by Blank Page Muse and Clearsnap Blends inks- so pretty!

Jenny Marples is ready for Christmas with her cozy brick House Ornament. Head over to her blog to see all the fun techniques she used to make it! I love how she decorated the roof using leaves from the Journaling Card- Flowers & Leaves die!

Tonya Trantham made a Beach Babe House! Check out all of the fun details like a life preserver, framed swimmer on a raft and her gorgeous signature flowers on her blog.

Julia Aston is sharing an out-of-this-world Adventure Awaits Notebook. You have to check out her post to see how she created all of the cool effects  she used in the making of this project. Wow!

Thanks so much for checking out the new Sizzix Chapter 3 Eileen Hull Release! The dies I ordered for my Etsy store have not yet arrived but the UPS man should be visiting today!

15 Jul

Check out the inspirational summer projects with Clearsnap and Emerald Creek products! I went to the beach last week, but the team never rests! They were busy making more gorgeous samples for us!

Summer Fun…

Lisa Hoel created this playful Mermaid Wrapped Journal using tons of techniques using Clearsnap Blends inks,  Emerald Creek Molten Dimensions embossing powders and and the Gel-Press plate. Don’t you love the beachy colors and fun ocean vibe!

This Field Notes Journal by Jenny Marples drips with luscious summer colors and lots of interesting ways to use new ThermOWeb products and Clearsnap inks with the Sizzix Journal die as a base. Jenny’s bookbinding skills are legendary- check out her blog for more book ideas.

Karen Bearse is the queen of art journaling and this gorgeous Embossed Notebook just blew me away! Karen used a lot of Clearsnap inks and Molten Dimensions embossing powders on the Notebook die. Check out her helpful tips on using these supplies to create the stunning cover effect.

Tonya Trantham created this gorgeous Bridal Shower Love Card using the Journaling Cards- Flowers & Leaves die and colored them with Blends inks- so pretty and summery.

Our beach house was christened last week with a visit from our family! Here’s a pic of mostly everyone, but families were coming and going all week long as their schedules would allow. It’s amazing how fast the time has gone, although I remember thinking it never would when they were little. We have another little one expected next week- so blessed!
