Seasonal Makes with Eileen Hull’s Sizzix Dies

Hello, the holidays are upon us! This month Eileen’s design teams are showing us all sorts of seasonal makes made with her ever versatile products. As I’ve often said, Eileen’s die designs make the perfect bases for all sorts of projects and styles. Let’s take a look at what the Inspiration Team has to show us today!

Julia Aston is ready to set a lovely Thanksgiving table complete with individual treat boxes to place at each guests’ spot. What a delightful touch! The treat holders are made using Eileen’s Ornament Die. Visit Julia’s blog to see how she put them together.

A Truckload of Sizzix Chapter 4 Inspiration!

Did you see the big Chapter 4 die release October 1st? We had a FB Live Release Party and a Blog Hop! For more Sizzix Chapter 4 inspiration, this month we are taking a closer look at the projects shared during the Hop (as well as new projects from the designers). It’s an exciting group of dies for sure! Here’s what Eileen has to say about them,

“The Chapter 4 Sizzix Release is exciting for so many reasons – there are two never-done-before designs! One is the Full Size Journal which is a Bigz Pro size – you will need a machine with at least a 9″ throat to cut this die – like a Big Shot Plus or Pro. Not to worry, if you don’t have that machine, Eileen will have the pre-cut pieces available in her Etsy store for you to work with. The other new technology is a 3-D Embossing Folder! It’s called Sweater and is oh so cozy. Also new this release is a Bigz Notepad Die with lots of options for materials and uses, and a Heart Mandala Thinlits Die to decorate with!”

Pam Bray is sharing another project from her ‘Ch. 4 Celebration collection’! This one uses the Notepad Die to make a sweet little notebook with a pocket inside that holds a small album made of journaling cards. See all the details on Pam’s blog.

Nature Journals Made with Eileen Hull’s Sizzix Dies

Hello, we are back with more nature journals made using Eileen’s ever versatile Sizzix Dies. In addition, the Teams were challenged to use dies that aren’t normally thought of as “journal” dies. They have been getting really creative! Let’s take a look at what we have to inspire you this week…

Julia Aston used the Gift Card Folder Die to make a holder for a diminutive nature junk journal. What a clever idea! The die is made for holding gift cards but I think it’s also perfect to hold a mini book. Julia also used some of Eileen’s new rubber stamps (Vintage Damask Stamp) in the decoration of the box. Designer Lisa Hoel is back with Part 2 of her Treasure Box nature journal ensemble. (See Part 1 here.) Maggi Harding used the Folio Journal Die for her project. “But wait,” you say, “that’s an ‘official’ journal die.” But I say that Maggi has a clever die hack to share with you on how to make it into a tag journal. Journals Inspired by Nature

Welcome to September! As you know, a new month means a new theme here on the blog. This month we are taking a look at journals inspired by nature! Additionally, the Teams have been challenged to use dies that aren’t normally considered “journal dies”. Let’s see what inspiration they have for us this week!

First up we have Karen Bearse with her fabulous winter themed nature journal. She used the Mitten Die to create a gate fold cover that perfectly matches the theme of the mini album. The whole album is full of delightful details and mixed media goodness. Be sure to head on over to Karen’s blog post and see all the step out photos for this make!

Designer Pam Bray created a sweet nature themed desk set using the popular Vintage Truck Die. Flowers and butterflies combine to create a lovely shabby chic look! Pam also stocked her desk set with a matching notebook and other office supplies. What a cute addition to your office decor. Details can be found on Pam’s blog!

Lastly for this week is Lisa Hoel’s nature specimens box, Part 1. She created the main structure with the Treasure Box and Stacking Drawer Dies. Shabby chic nature is on display! A little mini journal inspired by nature resides inside the lid (to be revealed in Part 2!) Check out Lisa’s blog for details.

New Sizzix Chapter 3 Dies Projects Continued!


We’re back again! Did you catch the Release Party & Blog Hop for Eileen Hull’s brand new Sizzix Chapter 3 dies? We had a fun time (watch the replay) and the Blog Hop was packed full of inspiring makes from the Teams! Eileen has three new dies in her Chapter 3 release:

Here’s what Eileen has to say about her new dies:
“Celebrate every day with these versatile Chapter 3 Sizzix dies! Although themed as a holiday collection, just think of how many ways you can decorate these dies to celebrate every season of the year, simply by changing out the paper and colors! The Truck and Camper pair are a match made in heaven. Set it on the mantel, (paired with the Camper die!), hang on the tree, fill with treats or create your holiday cards with them. The Ornament Box may be used several ways – use the circle shapes separately as ornaments or build up the sides and add treats, snacks and gifts. Decorate the box with elements from the Thinlits Wreath & Snowflake dies or use those elements in your journals, tags, pages and pockets! You will want them all!”
