Eileen Hull February Wrap Up – Project Round Up!

27 Feb

February sure has flown by and it’s time for the project round up! This month the theme has been “Anything Goes” which has allowed the Creative Team designers to delve deep into their stashes and use any of Eileen Hull’s fab dies and products to create a wide variety of exciting projects! Keep scrolling to check out the final projects for this week and the round up video.

News from Eileen…

I’m excited to welcome team member Margaret Sidenstick on Tuesday’s live – we are both going to create with the Snail Mail die and I can’t wait to see what she has in mind.

On Thursday, I’ll be working in my Mini-Album and sharing some of my favorite supplies to keep on hand and what to do when you have just a few minutes to create! I hope you can join me and share some of your ideas with us in the chat.

Here’s what I made with one of Realeather‘s kits last Thursday – it’s a classic design and would make a great gift for anyone who has a credit card! So easy, watch HERE if you missed it…

Project Round Up & Creative Team projects…

Lisa Hoel is still working on the #tidyup2025 Challenge. She used Eileen’s Slotted Treat Box, Storage Box and Treasure Box Dies to create these organizer containers. They are filled with ribbon and buttons. See more photos here!

Designer Sue Eldred created this sweet little card using the versatile Floral Pocket & Paperclips Thinlits Die Set. You can do a lot with this set and Sue has more card examples to share on her blog so check it out.

Elizabeth Robinson created a lovely nature themed journal using Eileen’s Notebook Die. Gorgeous! The papers used are Katie Pertiet’s new Hidden Creek collection with Arden (a UK brand). Don’t miss all the additional photos in her post!

“What’s in the Box?” Treasure Box Die Wrap Up

29 Aug

“What’s in the Box?” has been our theme for August. All month we’ve focused on the versatile Treasure Box Die and the Inspiration Team has really knocked it out of the park! We’re wrapping it up this week with a final round of projects.

Lisa Hoel made a box to hold some of her vintage button hoard. I think you’ll agree this is better than having them get dusty in an open bowl on the shelf! She also used Eileen’s 3-D Vintage Buttons Embossing Folder to perfectly decorate the Treasure Box. Find the details in her post.

Check out this clever idea from Sue Eldred! She used the Treasure Box Die to create a “tackle” gift box for your favorite fisherman. I love it! Visit her post to see how she altered the die cut structure to make it look more like a real tackle box.

Cool technique alert! Jenny Marples is sharing a flash back Treasure Box project featuring a faux pitted enamel finish. Fabulous! Find out how to create this look in Jenny’s tutorial. You’ll want to add it to your box of tricks.

Bonus project…

Pam Bray has an extra project to share with us this week too. She used the Notebook Die to create this lovely little junk journal. The inside is just as nice as the outside so don’t miss all the details on Pam’s blog.

Come back next week for a new September theme!

More Fibers, Fabric & Felt – Journals & Home Decor

16 Mar

This week we have more fibers, fabric and felt inspiration for you! That is our March theme and the designers have been killing it. They are using them for accents on projects as well as major parts in their constructions. Eileen’s dies (steel rule and Thinlits) cut easily through fabric and felt so the crafty possibilities are endless. Let’s take a look at this week’s inspiration!

Jenny Marples always creates the most beautiful mixed media journals and this one is no exception. She has incorporated loads of lace, linens and stitching. Her ideas for journal pages are really inspiring! Check out her blog post for layering tips and many more photos.

I spy with my little eye several Eileen products in this delightful sewing themed decor piece that Tonya Trantham created. There is the Vintage Buttons 3-D Embossing Folder in the background, her new Button Cards #2 stamp set, Mandala Die, and Spring Leaves Die! Pay Tonya’s blog a visit to find out all the details!

Another master of layers is Elizabeth Robinson. She has a beautiful shabby chic journal to share with you too. Would you believe she starched and embossed the fabric on the front of this Full Size Journal? Whaaat? Love it!! That tassel is so lovely too. Check out all the details in her blog post.

Sizzix Chapter 1 Release – Wrap Up!

23 Feb

Did you catch Eileen Hull’s new dies in the live Release Party at the beginning of the month? We also had a Blog Hop with the Teams and there was certainly a ton of inspiration there with all the “new stuff” projects. The designers have been sharing the tutorials for their creations all month and today is the Sizzix Chapter 1 Release wrap up!

First, in case you missed it, the lineup of new dies:

Here is what Eileen has to say about them:

“I am so excited to share my Chapter 1 release with you! The dies in this collection are versatile, practical and fun to embellish. The Phone Stand, an XL ScoreBoards die, is a MUST – you need one for every room! Make for yourself, family, friends, for gifts or to sell – the die cuts the stand in one pass and is very easy to assemble.

The Book Box can be used to make a book or a box that holds A-2 greeting cards. What a great way to package handmade cards … or a quick and easy book! Add the Vintage Buttons folder to create vintage backgrounds for cards, journals, pages and tags. The 3D effect is stunning when you add a little Luster Wax to bring out the highlights…

The Snail Mail Thinlits die cuts a postal pane that coordinates with two of Eileen’s Snail Mail Maker Forte stamps. This die was designed to use on the front of an A-2 card! The dies may be found in local scrapbook stores and Eileen’s Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/EileenHull
Thanks to my teams for their gorgeous samples and support!”

A bundle of inspiration ahead… get a beverage!

Sarah Lizzie created a project that is beautiful and functional! She used the Book Box Die to create a holder for seed packets. Love it! This would make a great gift for a gardener friend. See the complete tutorial on her blog.

Also rocking her gel printing skills, Madeline Arendt used them to decorate the Phone Stand. I love all the colors and textures she achieved! You will be surprised at the substrate she printed on – clear contact paper! Visit her blog to see the tutorial.
