This week, the Educator Team is up at bat! We are continuing to share Folio and Mandala Die project inspiration with creations from the Educator Team. Eileen’s new dies are the ScoreBoards Folio Journal Die, coordinating Folio Page, Pockets and Flower Thinlits set and the Mandala Thinlits die. We have a post full of great ideas for you to try!

Continued! All this month we’ve been checking out creations made with Eileen Hull’s new Chapter 1 Sizzix dies. Elizabeth Robinson used the Folio Journal Die to make a ‘Sew on the go’ kit. What a clever idea! She has spots for needles, scissors and all the other supplies she needs for her English paper piecing (quilting hand stitching). It’s all in one spot, ready to grab and go! Educator Sue Eldred created a darling floral pocket folio card using Eileen’s new dies. The bright and cheery colors and fun interactive element would make this card a delight to receive in the mail! I think it’s a clever to make a little corner pocket to hold the actual card. The layered effect is quite lovely. See all the details in Sue’s blog post.

Maggi Harding had some fun creating with two of Eileen’s brand new Thinlits dies, the Folio Page, Pocket & Flowers Set and the Mandala Die. These new dies have so many possibilities! Maggi makes the most wonderful cards with beautiful patterned paper (Graphic 45 this time, yum) and you will love this layered beauty:

Designer Susie Bentz’s card shines too… literally! She added some sparkle to her card and envelope by raiding her large washi tape stash and using Rinea foiled paper. She also used Eileen’s Hearts Journaling Cards Die Set to make a custom stencil for the background. Now that is a creative card and what a great tip to extend the uses of your dies! We also just wrapped up the Comfort & Joy Event that took place in the Eileen Hull Fan Club! You can find out more information here. We worked on personal journals documenting past and present holiday traditions. Eileen and Teams provided inspiration, techniques and practical ways to create your own personalized journal using any of Eileen’s Sizzix Journal dies as a base. The Event took place in the Eileen Hull Fan Club private group but if you missed it, it’s not too late! All the links and prompts are in the Fan Club so you can still work on your journal. Personally, I didn’t have time to do much with mine but I will have some crafty time with it next week!

Choosing a wide range of favorite projects, Jenny Marples’ picks run the gamut from stitchery to organizational. One of my favorite aspects of Jenny’s work is her use of layered and textured backgrounds, often gel press prints. Yum! Those colors and textures really cause her makes to sing.
