News from Eileen…
Hi everyone! Winter has arrived in Virginia and to me, there is nothing better than spending a snowy day crafting cozily in my studio 🙂 Last week my daughter and I drove to Maine for my niece’s baby shower and it was fantastic! I stayed with my sister in a beautiful coastal town called Brunswick and visited a local gallery where she sells her pastels. Such an amazing inspiration to see these artist’s creations. I am regretting not buying a beautiful seascape and may call my sister and ask her to get it. What better way to support an artist and small business, and also have a reminder of the event I went to celebrate? Of course, the 1300 mile drive in a space of two days was insane but it was a nice chance to catch up with my daughter Pam.
I returned to see the mess in my studio was still there 🙁 But as I returned everything to its place (kind of) I realized how lucky I am to be able to do this and once again how grateful I am to all of you for making this possible.
Crafting live with Eileen Hull:
I have decided it’s time to get that Holiday Village up on the mantel and get decorating, so today I am doing the last video in the series. I’ll be making one more really cute little house using the Post Box die. Unfortunately it is sold out, but you may be able to find one on eBay. I will also be putting the finishing touches on the other houses I have created – it’s time to get out the accessory dies, lace, trim, ribbon and embellishments! You can watch HERE.
Gift cards are a favorite – but they feel so much more personal when presented in a handmade folder, box, or mini book. Plus, they’re fun to make!
Join me on Thursday as I share some creative, die-cut ideas for packaging gift cards in ways that feel thoughtful, festive, and uniquely handmade. Why not create along with me? We’re using these dies: Notebook, Field Notes, Needle Book and maybe a few others, depending on how fast we can craft 😉 I hope you will join me for a busy making session!
