Scrap Hoarding? – Use Them with Eileen Hull’s Dies!

Are you scrap hoarding? We’ve all got them – those little bits and pieces which we can’t bear to part with, the last of a pack of paper, bits of stamping, collected items for recycling… you get the idea! This month you are going to see the Teams creating with leftovers in projects using Eileen’s dies. Get your own scraps out and make something along with us. Be sure to show us in the Fan Club!

Elizabeth Robinson raided her stash of bits and bobs to create some lovely journal embellishments. This is a great idea! Now she has them ready to go to add to an upcoming journal project. Designer Jenny Marples had a similar idea to Elizabeth. Utilizing her ample scrap hoard, she created collage postcards and envelopes to use in other projects. Mixed media magic strikes again! I really love these postcards and can’t wait to see how Jenny uses them. See the tutorial on her blog!

Tonya Trantham has a hinged Book Box creation to share with us. She cleverly cut down the hinge piece so she could make the box open from a horizontal orientation instead of vertical. Her layered embellishments on the top are delightful as well. Find the scoop on her blog!

Leftovers Love – Using the Bits with Eileen Hull’s Dies

Leftovers love – we’ve all got them! A box or drawer of leftovers… little bits and pieces which we can’t bear to part with, the last of a pack of paper, bits of stamping, collected items for recycling… you get the gist! This month you are going to see the Teams creating with their leftovers in projects using Eileen’s dies as the base. So get inspired! Get your own scraps out and make something along with us.

Pam Bray raided her box of scraps and extra die cuts to create this lovely garden themed wall hanging. I love the cheerful color scheme she used – perfect for this time of year! Designer Karen Bearse made a sweet memento of her children’s high school lacrosse careers. The Shadowbox Frame #2 Die Set was perfect for the photo frames and Karen cleverly recycled some cast off fruit packaging for the “net” hinge. Find out how she put it all together in her blog post!

Maker Forte New Stamp Release – Making Plans

Yesterday Eileen Hull and Maker Forte had a new stamp release. Did you miss the live Release party? You can watch the replay HERE. The set is called Making Plans and is a really useful stamp set especially if you are into planners or journaling. Here’s what Eileen has to say about it,

“I am excited to release the Making Plans stamp set! If you use a planner, diary, calendar, date book, birthday book or write down any kind of list, this is the set for you! You get a vintage typeset list of days of the week, months, and words associated with planning, organizing or a few phrases just for fun. Along with that there are also eight label shapes that the words will fit it. These are great to use in journals, to customize cards, and on tags and other ephemera. More Fibers, Fabric & Felt – Journals & Home Decor

This week we have more fibers, fabric and felt inspiration for you! That is our March theme and the designers have been killing it. They are using them for accents on projects as well as major parts in their constructions. Eileen’s dies (steel rule and Thinlits) cut easily through fabric and felt so the crafty possibilities are endless. Let’s take a look at this week’s inspiration!

Jenny Marples always creates the most beautiful mixed media journals and this one is no exception. She has incorporated loads of lace, linens and stitching. Her ideas for journal pages are really inspiring! Check out her blog post for layering tips and many more photos.
