Journaling Love in February with Eileen Hull Dies

Welcome February, the month of love! This month the designers are sharing their Journaling Love inspiration and a continuing look at Eileen Hull’s latest die release from Sizzix. Pam Bray is expressing her journaling love by making a mini journal of sorts. It’s a cute little folio book that holds ATC cards! The lettering tiles were cut using the Tile Alphanumeric Die (so handy!) and the structure holds Library Card Pockets for ATCs. Love it! See it on her blog…

Sizzix Project Tutorials with Eileen Hull’s Chapter 1 Dies!

We are wrapping up a month of Sizzix project tutorials highlighting the designers’ fabulous makes from the Chapter 1 Release Party. We hope you’ve been inspired and are having your own creative fun with Eileen’s new dies. Here’s Eileen’s recap of them in case you’re out of the loop:

“Introducing the Chapter 1, 2023 Eileen Hull/Sizzix collection!

Let’s start with the ScoreBoards Frame Pocket Journal – this is a Bigz Plus die so you will need a 9” cutting machine. The Journal measures 4 1/2” x 6 1/2” x 1 1/4” with an adjustable spine. What makes this die special are the additional pieces on the die, a pocket to hold ephemera, a frame and flap! These extra pieces may be used in many of my other journals or they can be used independently. The die may also be configured in a few different ways so watch the blog and Facebook live shows for ideas.

There are two Thinlits sets that coordinate with the Journal. You asked for a new alphabet – you got it – and I added numbers too! The Tile Alphanumeric is very versatile because you can use both the positive and negative shapes. Each letter is perforated which makes it easy to create and line up words.

The other Thinlits set is the Library Pocket, ATC Card and Tab Die Set – a journal essential! Use the ATC card die to knock out a bunch of Artist Trading Card bases and add the library pocket to package it up to swap. The Tab die is perfect to add to the Journal pages or on the ATC.

and a NEW 3-D Embossing Folder!

The last item is a 3D embossing folder called Tablecloth which was inspired by a crocheted cotton piece from my Mom. This adds beautiful texture and dimension to card backgrounds, book pages or tags!”

Eileen’s dies are perfect for card making too!

When she needed a quick thank you card, Maggi Harding turned to the Tile Alphanumeric and Library Pocket, ATC Card & Tabs Dies. With the addition of gorgeous patterned paper, she turned out a beautiful creation in no time flat. Find the details in her post!

The Eileen Hull Chapter 1 Sizzix release has been one of her best yet! The designers created some really astounding projects for the Release Party. Consequently, for the rest of January the designers are sharing the project tutorials so you can see how they created their fabulous makes and be inspired yourself.

Wow! Jenny Marples really thought outside of the box so to speak and used the Frame Pocket Journal Die to create an accordion folder to hold ephemera and those extra bits. Clever Tonya Trantham also thought outside of the box by… making a box! She used the pieces cut using the Frame Pocket Journal Die to create a decorative holder for Thinlit die sets, paper pads or whatever you want to use it for. Head on over to her blog to see her creative die hack.

Designer Maggi Harding has been rocking the new dies and this project is no exception! She created a cookbook journal beautifully decorated with Graphic 45 papers. The inside pocket is a perfect place to store blank recipe cards and the included pages are ready for your cooking notes! See all the fab details in her post.

Prepare to have your mind blown! Madeline Arendt makes wonderful banners for home decor and she has really hit it out of the park with this sunflower banner. Guess what die she used to make it? Christmas Dies for All Seasons?

You might be under the impression that Eileen Hull’s Chapter 3 Sizzix dies are only for the holiday season. Well, you would be wrong! These “Christmas dies” are for all seasons! All month long the Inspiration Team designers have been sharing fun ways to use these dies in projects that work all year long. Versatility is the name of the game!
