Art with Heart Challenge {May Flowers}

Hey everyone! Are you ready for another Art with Heart Challenge? Spring is finally here, and our challenge this month is May Flowers. Flowers are blooming everywhere and the Inspiration Team has projects “blooming” with creativity to inspire you!

In addition to creative inspiration from the Inspiration Team we also have a great Sizzix prize pack to give away to a lucky winner! A randomly selected winner will receive my Garden Gate Album Scoreboards Die and a pack of Mat Board. All you have to do for a chance to win is link up your Art with Heart.

Amy Bowerman has created a beautiful basket of her famous Paper Flowers using my Heart Petal Flowers, Basket and Plant Marker Dies.

Michelle Zerull has created some cute-as-a-button fringe flowers displayed in an adorable jar using my Food Jar die.

What’s new with Artist Trading Blocks

Hey everyone! Have you seen all of the incredible Artist Trading Blocks being created with my Sizzix dies? I’m constantly amazed by the creative ways my dies are being used in conjunction with this quickly growing art form. Here’s a look at some of the latest and greatest Artist Trading Block designs created this past month by Team ATB members, Inspiration Team members, and around the web!

Team ATB has been BUSY creating innovative Artist Trading Blocks! April marks the first month of Team ATB and Wow, did they bring the Artist Trading Block inspiration or what? Stop by The Artists on the Block to see all of these creative projects.

There’s more than one way to create Artist Trading Blocks, and plenty of talented Artists creating them as the ATB movement continues to spread. Hello friends! I apologize for being a day late and a dollar short with the Art with Heart April Showers Challenge winners post. I’m in the mix of my daughter’s wedding but more on that later. Inspiration Team Tuesday: Artist Trading Blocks

Hi Everyone! Last week we kicked off the Art with Heart April Showers Challenge. With a new week under way I have more creative projects from the Inspiration Team! It’s Inspiration Team Tuesday…prepare to be inspired!

First up we have the always inspiring Anna-Karin of Layers of Ink sharing a knock your socks off Artist Trading Block Creation!

Anna-Karin sure knows how to think outside the “block” . Seriously, how cool are these magnificent row houses? Stop by for a full tutorial on how to create your own Artist Trading Block Houses.

Next we have Amy of Plucking Daisies with this adorable Baby Shower centerpiece. Amy also went the route of Artist Trading Blocks by using them to create a palm tree!

Hello Everyone! Thanks to all who participated in the Art with Heart kick-off challenge “New Beginnings”. Are your ready to play again? We all know that the month of April brings showers so our Art with Heart Challenge theme this month is “April Showers”!

CHA Workshop Sneak Peek video

It’s hard to believe that I am so deep in CHA preparations already! There is a lot in the works and hope I can keep up with it all.

First, I am teaching a Sizzix Workshop with Amy Bowerman of Plucking Daisies at CHA. Registration opened today and the class sold out in 20 minutes. Wow.

But don’t despair- you can still be part of the fun! We are looking for CHA samples showing all of the different ways to use this Blocks die. If you are interested, contact me at EileenHull@aol.com.

I made a little video about what we’ll be doing in the Workshop-
many thanks to Amy Powers. I am taking a class called Craft Happy over at Big Picture Classes and loving it. The first week, she showed us how to make a stop animation film so this is my attempt at one. It really was fun to make. Thanks Amy!

The class features one of the dies in the new Sizzix Cherished collection… it will not be released until January, but here’s a taste of what can be done with it and how easy it is to assemble! Watch the video and see just a few ideas…

Just a sad note about my little Scotty trailer. Now that the weather is getting cold, we put her in the barn to keep dry. Yesterday I was raking leaves and thought I should check in and make sure all was well. I turned on the light and noticed a large brown stain on the floor. Oh no… turns out I had the refrigerator set at max and it exploded a 12 pack of cherry Diet Pepsi inside and it was leaking out to the floor. What a mess! I am a bad mother 🙁 So that’s turned off for now, but at least I know the fridge is working great! I need to get out there and start painting because I have some deadlines to make for this baby. Wait till you hear what’s up with this trailer!
