Top Drawer Project Inspiration with Eileen Hull

7 Sep

Welcome to September! This month you can feast on top drawer project inspiration with our focus on Eileen Hull’s Stacking Drawer Die. As you will see, it can be configured in all sorts of ways to construct creative makes. (It also fits perfectly inside the Treasure Box.) Let’s take a look…

First off we have a beautiful project from Pam Bray. She’s put two drawers side by side on a base made with the lid of the Treasure Box. Love it! She also used Eileen’s Jewel Loom to weave a topper to decorate it. That and the crochet flowers add such a lovely touch. Check out all the details on Pam’s blog.

Designer Sarah Lizzie just got a precious new puppy! She decided to utilize her crafty skills and the Stacking Drawer Die to create a treat station for little Jess. This is such a great idea. Find all the tutorial in Sarah Lizzie’s post.

July is All About Stencil Love!

18 Jul

Eileen Hull has designed a new set of layered stencils with matching dies. The Sizzix stencil set is the Watercolour Florals & Lattice Stencil Set with the Painterly Blooms & Background Thinlits die set that will easily cut out the stenciled flowers. The Inspiration Team has so many ideas that we are continuing to feature these new products with our July theme of “Stencil Love” and sharing our creations with you!

Jenny Marples is leading us off with a stunning mixed media page spread in an art journal she made. Love it! She shows you all the steps for this stencil technique in her blog post so pay it a visit.

Tonya Trantham used the lattice stencil on her card front to good effect. I like how she cut out some of the squares of negative space to show the background paper behind it. Great idea! Get a closer look on her blog.

It’s a work in progress! Designer Elizabeth Robinson has a Notebook Die journal going and it’s looking so good. Stenciled and die cut flowers are decorating the front and I spy a beaded/woven spine made using Eileen’s new Jewel Loom! See how she’s doing it on her blog.
