I am so happy to welcome back Lisa Hoel of Creative Juice with a festive version of the Sizzix Loaf Pan. I am in love with the texture and glitz and gold!

Faux Metal Loaf Pan
I love to collect vintage bakeware. In fact, that’s what inspired this whole Vintage Kitchen collection!
For as long as I can remember, every time I would go in a thrift store, my eyes were drawn to the baking pans and the cool patterns that were embossed into their sides. I use the pans for display, to hold business cards, small collections of stuff, craft supplies and occasionally, I even bake in them 🙂 [Read more…]
Amazing Advent Calendar
Shhhh…I’ve snuck onto Eileen Hull’s Blog.
I wanted to show you the Advent Calendar I’ve made using her Candy Drawer Box and get you thinking Holiday Traditions.
About Me… I craft like a Ninja. The End.
Just kidding!
{Hello…My Name is Nicole}. I hail from the Great White North, Alberta Canada. I have three awesome, funny, gorgeous kids. Two are teenagers and one is yes recently an adult….I might not make it out alive! My husband and I have been together for 20 years and he built my craft room. That’s how much he loves me!
My qualifications for kidnapping Eileen’s Blog, well I begged…A LOT! Last year I saw Anna- Karin’s Advent Calendar that used the Candy Drawer die. I made it my mission to get that die. I entered a Sizzix Contest (which I forgot I entered) became a finalist, more begging for votes and I won! I was flown to Sizzix (see photo above) where I was pampered by the Sizzix Team! Yep, Mani’s and Pedi’s all around. Where we did make n’ takes, I met “everyone” and learned how these amazing designers work hard to give us dies to play with! This is where I finally got 3 of Eileen’s box dies. I guess I could have just gone and bought one. I love 3D crafting so these dies are a perfect fit.
Enough about my Ninja secrets. There’s an Advent Calendar to see!
I decorated my $1 Store tree with beads. I cut them and glued into place. I cut Winter Wishes and attached to the tree with glue.
I decorated the truck with some rubs and the mini wreath and mini antler dies.
The Candy Drawer boxes make the perfect Advent Calendar. That’s 24 Candy Drawer Boxes!
Each box is decorated on the inside too.
I tucked wrapped chocolate in each box. One for each of my 3 kids or 72 chocolates.
I topped the Candy Drawer boxes with the smallest box from the Blocks/Cubes die. Creating a present on top. Then I inked a mini woodland tree. I was trying to create a candy cane for the tree.
I cut gadget gears in half for wheels to hold up the Advent Boxes. The tires have to be below the platform for the boxes to open. I attached the battery pack for the lights under the first platform so it’s hidden.
I mixed up the holiday paper and numbers for each set.
The last platform of boxes I used Enamel tags and rubs for the numbers. This is where I added a sleigh being pulled behind.
I cut the sleigh and added some retro presents, greenery and my inked up Woodland Tree. A perfect caboose!
It took me some time to figure out how I wanted to hitch it all together. You want to be able to separate these for easy storage. I simply attached some tinsel twine to one platform (underneath) with hot glue while looping the other end. Then I used a hinge clip on the looped side to clip to the next platform. Easy to unclip for moving and storing.
This is the die that started me loving Eileen’s Block dies! I love 3D projects and this one was a blast to build.
Watch my blog for another Advent Calendar using Eileen’s Candy Drawer Box Die. I was asked to make one since she liked mine. I’ll be posting her Advent Calendar and the story behind this amazing car! Hers is way nicer than mine.
Thank you Eileen for letting me invade your corner of the internet. I am thrilled to have been asked. Check out My Blog for more holiday projects including more Christmas Crafts using Eileen’s Box Dies.
This is Eileen… WOW! Can you believe this project by Nicole? What do you say we give her a round of applause? This project is totally spectacular and I love everything about it! She can rock the Big Shot like a big shot.
It is with great pleasure that I bestow upon her the title of Canadian Ninja in Residence here on the Eileen Hull blog. Thanks so much Nicole for stopping by and sharing your work!
