What’s up at CHA 2015?

8 Jan

If you will be at CHA this week, I hope you will stop by and see me! I leave VA bright and early Thursday and get set up, then Friday, the show starts! Here’s what I will be doing…
2015 Show Schedule-web

This is a pic of the project I will be teaching in our speed-crafting Sizzix Workshop. Think I can have the students put this fun little Passport Book together in 15-17 minutes? Me either… but I am going to give it a try 🙂

Passport-book

I will be doing a Luggage Tag Make and Take at the Designer’s In Action demo stand on Saturday from 2-3. Quick and easy!

28 Dec

It seems weird that Christmas is over- it came and went in a blur! But now I am looking ahead to 2015 and all of the new challenges and adventures that are to come!

Holiday Mug

27 Dec

I know Christmas is over but I am still feeling the love… I made this fun 3D Mug as a gift for a friend and included her favorite chocolates. There are lots of other things you can fit in here- it’s pretty big!

Take a visit to the Sizzix UK blog where you will see how easy it is to put this project together.

Quick and Easy Journaling Cards

20 Dec

I posted over on the Sizzix UK blog today about some Journaling Cards I have been working on. Having just returned from a week at Disney World with my family (including two toddlers), there was not much time to craft. But luckily I had pre-cut a stack of cards that I was able to pull out at the airport and after the kids had gone to bed to get a little creativity time in. (I get antsy when I don’t have time for that!)

I used the Recipe Card Box and Recipe Card & Label to work on.  These dies may be found in your local scrapbook store or on line- click on links below.

First, you will need to cut a stack of cards using the Recipe Card & Label die.

659870- Recipe Card & LabelI cut mine from chipboard and white and black matboard (you can get a nice chalkboard effect using white pen on black board!).

Then I come up with a word or phrase- it can be anything. Mostly I do these cards when I am watching TV with my husband or like yesterday, while traveling. I look on them as practice- then I don’t feel pressure for them to be perfect. Let your mind and hands just enjoy the pleasure of writing and making shapes.

All you need to doodle on the cards is a pencil, eraser and permanent black pens of different thicknesses.
