New Ideas from the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team

24 Jun

Hi everyone- hope you are all enjoying the summer so far! I’m excited to share more new ideas from the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team using the new Therm O Web and Emerald Creek Craft Supplies products.

I am back to show you the last new product from Therm O Web– Red Liner Tape!

I use this tape on all of my heavy duty Scoreboards three dimensional projects. The matboard seems to have a mind of its own. Unless I completely break down the fibers by bending over at 180 degrees, the board will resist and try to spring open. I have found the Red Liner Tape is able to withstand the pressure, hold strong and keep the project held together. Of course you can use it for other applications as well. But when I need a firm hold, I pull out the big guns (see above) 🙂 [Read more…]

More New Eileen Hull Product Reveals

12 Jun

H everyone- today I’m happy to bring you more new Eileen Hull product reveals!

There are three new Therm O Web products that I can’t wait to share with you because I use these products all the time. That means I know that they work… and I wouldn’t steer you wrong! Last time we talked about the Easy Cut Adhesive which allows you to add paper, fabric, metal and other materials onto matboard so that when you die cut the two materials at the same time, it looks like they were printed on!

On May 16, I did a project on Facebook Live showing how to use the Therm O Web Foam Adhesive to make the cover of a Sizzix Notebook made from vintage sewing patterns. Watch that here. By the way, which tennis player looks most like me? 🙂 haha

Innovative Ideas from the Inspiration Team

Lisa Hoel created this adorable little robot card using Emerald Creek Molten Dimensions embossing powders to make him metallic! So cute- look at his little arms!

Elizabeth Robinson made this hand drawn Seahorse Notebook and pained on canvas with new Blends2 inks! Simply gorgeous and love those sea colors <3…

Karen Bearse had a play and made a Recycled Shopping Bag Notebook using the Sizzix Journal die. Make sure to check out her video tutorial loaded with tips and tricks! What a fun idea and who doesn’t have a ton of bags they have been saving…

Tonya Trantham bumped up the spine of the Notebook die and made a boho Wings and Things chunky Notebook Planner! The colors are luscious!

Here’s another fun project from Tonya- a Doilies and Flowers Drawer that shows off Tonya’s hand at making the most delicate flower arrangements <3

Susie Bentz gets creative with this Steampunk Mask using the new Blends2 inks and Molten Dimensions. Wow- that is so creative and so striking!

Thank you!

New Products from Eileen Hull!

24 May

Hi everyone- this is one of those fun days… I get to officially announce there are new products from Eileen Hull! My partners are Therm O Web and Emerald Creek Craft Supplies. My fabulous Inspiration Team is sharing how they like to use them in their projects

New Products from Eileen Hull

The first product line is with Therm O Web Adhesives. Because I work with heavy duty materials like matboard, leather, felt, metal and fabric, I need adhesives that are strong and work with thick materials.

I am happy to say that the 6″ x 12″ Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets are now available! When I want to cover a die cut book or box with paper, I put an adhesive sheet on the right side of the matboard, peel off the resist paper and add a piece of patterned paper. Then I run the project through the die cut machine with the right side facing the die. When the die cut shape comes out, the paper is fused to the board. This is strong stuff my friends! The other products are ^” x 12″ Foam Adhesive and 1/4″ Red Liner Tape. I will talk about those products in my next post!

I have a line of Molten Dimensions embossing powders with Emerald Creek Craft Supplies in six colors:

Goldenrod

Glistening Glass

White Wonder

Polished Silver

Black Magic

Aqua Splash

Team Projects

Lisa Hoel leads off with this gorgeous Molten Dimensions embossed Mother’s Day card! She used the Sizzix Credit Card Sleeve as a base and layered heat embossed flowers from the Journaling Cards, Flowers & Leaves and “love” from Journaling Words. Any mother would be happy to get this card <3

Here’s another project from Lisa! This was one of the most popular samples at Creativation this January. She created this amazing zipped Needle Book case using the Notebook die. See her thorough tutorial on how to make this unique project.

Maggi Harding made this Journal for a very special trip! See the clever ways she uses the new Therm O Web and Emerald Creek products in her post here.

Julia Aston is headed to the beach! She created a Basket of Shells using Aqua Splash Molten Dimensions on the Basket Die, and also used the Twist and Style tool and Bookplate Hinges and Label. Read about how she made  it here!

Bonus Projects

Tonya Trantham created this Sewing Box for her Mom for Mother’s Day. But this is no ordinary sewing box- it’s got DOUBLE the drawers! So smart! See how here.

A round of applause for Tonya 🙂

More Eileen Hull Notebook Ideas

10 May

We are still celebrating the release of the newest Sizzix die and the team is here to show you more Eileen Hull Notebook ideas!

This Notebook die is so quick and easy to create you will be making them all. the. time! It is a ScoreBoards die, which means it is designed to cut and score thick material like matboard and chipboard so it will hold up to use. The die cuts in just one pass! Then add your elastic and book insert(s) and you have made a book! These books are easy to create assembly line style for a group event- wedding, party or other celebrations. Wouldn’t this make a great graduation gift for the new high-school or college graduate heading off to big new things?

More Eileen Hull Notebook Ideas from the Inspiration Team!

Anna-Karin Evaldsson created this awesomely artistic Watercolor Meadow Notebook inspired by a walk to find some rare flowers- blue anemones! Don’t they sound pretty?  See her gorgeous book with an easy to follow tutorial on her blog.

Susie Bentz created not one, not two, but three Notebooks to nest in her Treasure Box (tutorial coming soon)! The books are out of this world- Susie used gorgeous Stamperia Blue Star papers and made foiled spines. Get the scoop on her blog!

https://www.clotstudio.com/

Maggi Harding is up with a stunning set of Notebooks and Treasure Box to match all covered with Kaleidescope papers from Graphic 45 – just beautiful. See a cool hinge technique here on Maggi’s blog.

You can find the Notebook die here in my Etsy store.

I am not usually a clean and simple type artist. 😉 My background is in graphic design and I’m blessed to be married to the greatest guy in the world and have two dynamic boys. I live at the seaside in beautiful North Wales, UK where my four beautiful rescue dogs keep me on my toes. We have beautiful beaches, woodland walks and the best ice cream on the planet, right here on our doorstep. I love all things mixed media, but you will also find me drawing and playing with watercolours. I love to upcycle items found in charity shops, and give them a new lease of life, there’s something very satisfying about it. I was so excited when Eileen invited me to be on her Inspiration Team at the start of last year, the dies are such clever designs and make amazing bases to add your own style on to, I am very proud to be part of this amazing team. My blog is The Crafty Robin and you can find me on Instagram here.

Anna-Karin Evaldsson

I am Anna-Karin Evaldsson and I started papercrafting in 2002. How lucky I am to have found the joy of making art from paper, dies, stamps, ink and paint. I enjoy switching between different types of projects: cards, mini-books, art journaling, layouts, canvases and 3-D/home décor.  Many of my projects are mixed media and I love to try out techniques. Every project is a creative adventure and the possibilities are truly endless. You can find Anna-Karin on her blog, Layers of Ink, Instagram and YouTube.

Susie Bentz

I am a crafter at heart and have been creating all my life.   I enjoy learning new techniques and playing with new products and then I love to share it all in the classes  I teach locally and across the country.  Over the years I have been privileged to work with a variety of manufacturers as a designer, educator and blogger.  I have a very understanding husband and 3 adult children so I can almost always find time to play in my craft room every day.   One of my favorite quotes is from Leo Buscaglia, “Your talent is God’s gift to you; what you do with it is your gift to God.” Follow Susie Bentz on her blog, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

Karen Bearse

My name is Karen Bearse and I am a lifelong crafter who currently likes getting as inky as possible! As a technique junkie there are few products I have not experimented with. Thrilled to be back with the gals on the Inspiration Team! You can find me on my blog, Instagram and  Facebook.

Tonya Trantham

I’m married, a mom and “T-Mommy” (grandmother) living in southeast Tennessee. I’m a member of AFCI and design for several different manufacturers and have been published in various craft magazines and e-books.
