Favorite Sizzix Journals from Eileen Hull’s Creative Team

17 Sep

It’s the middle of September! Favorite Sizzix Journals is our Creative Team theme. In addition, we are having some collaborations with other companies. Our UK designers are having their turn using exciting Grafix Arts speciality plastic films and sheets. USA designers are testing out Bearly Art glue. We have some more great projects to share this week:

Tonya Trantham has part one of a journal project made using Eileen’s Notebook Die for us. She’s using the Notebook cut scored in different places to create the staggered pages. So clever! Find the details and how to here.

Extra, Extra!

Amy Powers created this fabulous mini garden inspired by Eileen’s Garden Gate Die. You will be amazed! Check out her tutorial video below.

Flashback!

Our UK Creative Team members are working on the collaboration with Grafix Arts this month but Lisa Hoel wanted to reshare her collab journal from February. The cover is made with the classic Journal Die and it’s full of family trip photos, Grafix films and Eileen die touches. See more here.

I spy the Tiled Alphanumeric Die!

News from Eileen Hull…

I have been in NY with Mom for a week and fall is definitely in the air! My sister’s yard and garden are so pretty – I have been out picking bouquets and attempting to paint them at night after Mom goes to bed. Life is slow and quiet here but we have had a couple of adventures and some good laughs. Lots of memories and telling of old family stories, card games, puzzles and coloring books and the night always ends with an episode or two of “Call the Midwife”.

To all the caregivers out there – I have so much admiration and respect for you. A good caregiver is a gift to the family and the patient. Mom has two ladies right now who are so patient and kind to her and we are so grateful. I’m trying my best but they are another level.

ON TODAY’S LIVE

Margaret and I have decided to work with the Home Sweet Home Thinlits die. There are 23 dies in the set, including some adorable woodland creatures, pine trees and branches, house, clouds, sun, moon and stars. There are so many ways you can go with this die! I hope you will join us today to see what we make. Get your set out and craft along with us!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A New Way to Make Window Envelopes

Still having a blast with these! If you haven’t see it yet, it’s worth a watch if I do say so myself 🙂  And you might want to check out my Window Envelope Digital Kit specially designed for this technique on Etsy.

You can find everything you need to make them – dies, matboard, napkins and adhesive in my Etsy shop. I have found that the Journal, Skinny Mini Book Box and Full Size Journal dies all work well with this project along with Thinlits in geometric or label shapes, like the Library Pocket, Mini Slimline, Bookmark and Pockets, Tunnel Arches, Floral Pocket and Waterfall and Tags.
