Our overall Creative Team theme is “My Favorite Journal”. In addition, we are having some collaborations with other companies. Our UK designers are having their turn using exciting Grafix Arts speciality plastic films and sheets. USA designers are testing out Bearly Art glue. We have some more great projects to share this week:
Jennie Atkinson made this beautiful little Nature Notes journal to save photos and information as she records them around her home. She used the Mini Album Die and other Thinlits sets inside. See her video below:
Elizabeth Robinson made a bright and cheerful journal for her Grafix Arts collaboration project. It’s full of color and great mixed media details! She used the classic OG Journal Die for her base and I can spot other Thinlits Die Sets and Stencil Sets too.

News from Eileen Hull…
Hi all – I hope you have had a great week! Our four kids came home for the interment of my mother-in-law in Arlington Cemetery. It was such an impressive ceremony – she would have loved it. We also babysat our two month old grandson and 2 year old granddaughter, had a flood in the basement with a houseful of company, then I got sick 🙂 One of those weekends… but overall great family time.
Now getting back to reality – the Garlic Festival is just days away! After a crazy weekend and a cold, I am getting back to making items to sell at the show in upstate NY. The last items on the list are leather journals, bookmarks and keychains. I’ll be mass making them today on the live! Leather is such a fascinating material to work with – hope you can join me!
I’ll be using a variety of dies including the Notebook and Journal dies and Bookmark, Pockets and Toppers Thinlits dies. I’m also pulling from my supply of leather and tools available in my Etsy shop! You know I love my matboard but leather gets better and better with age where paper eventually breaks down. 🙁
Festival time!
This week I am ramping up production for the Garlic Festival – it is one month away! I’ll be sharing a craft booth with my five siblings at the Garlic Festival in Saugerties, N.Y. coming up September 26-27th. If you live nearby, please come and say hi!
