Recipe Card Box

19 Feb

If you have come from the Sizzix blog, welcome!

I posted a Sizzix Tip video of a project I created to show how to cover matboard with paper. It is a really quick and easy technique! Head over to my You Tube channel to see how… and while you are there, please subscribe!

Here’s the Recipe Card Box box I covered with paper…

…and here is my adorable grandson Hunter who just turned one. His photo just fits on the Recipe Card. The Recipe Card Box can hold 10-12 matboard cards in the box- lots more if you die cut them from paper.

I have been having so much fun with these 3″ x 4″ Recipe Cards. What I do is cut a stack and doodle different designs on them while sitting and watching TV with my husband. This particular batch is die cut from black mat board and doodled on with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. There is something about the thickness of the cards that really appeals to me. They also make a nice noise when you stack and shuffle them. Ahh, the simple pleasures…

So now you know now how to make the box… and the cards are super- easy too. Just make simple repeating patterns and space them out equally… and that is it!
