Handmade holidays and news from Eileen…
Happy winter everyone! How are you doing on your handmade holiday preps? It’s like Santa’s Workshop here – projects covering every surface here in my studio. I feel lucky to have family and friends I love to make things for. Next week we are headed up to my daughter’s in CT along with my two other daughters and families. So there will be 7 out of 10 grandkids all in one place and it is bound to be chaotic, loud and fun. After New Year’s we will be going to TX to see my son and family in their new place. A couple weeks later I will be headed up to NY to hang out with Mom for a few days. Wishing you time with those you love and all the best at this time of year…
So excited about this event! On Tuesday we will be treated to another tour of Madeline Arendt’s gorgeous Holiday Handmade Home! Madeline has been creating all her life and is very thoughtful in her making – she has a beautiful style and loves to experiment with different materials and pushing dies beyond what you might think is possible! Join me as we walk through with her home and see what she has created for the holidays. Watch HERE.
On Thursday, Margaret and I will be creating some last minute gifts using our favorite dies. Many projects may be used for other occasions by just changing out the papers from holiday to everyday. Get out your supplies and craft along with us! Don’t forget to post what you are making in the Eileen Hull Fan Club! Watch the live HERE.
Party Time!!
Let’s do something different… I am inviting you to a virtual Holiday Party! I will be posting a link the day of this show under this post. All you have to do is click on the link and it will take you to the waiting room, then I will bring you on to the show – we can hold up to 10 people on screen! Get yourself a beverage of your choice, a project for Show and Tell and join me and other community members for (as close as we can get to in person) visit 🙂 Don’t be shy!
Creative Team inspiration…
December is the month when the Creative Team looks back over the year and picks their three favorite projects to reminisce over. It’s always hard to pick just a few! Let’s see what we have this week for inspiration…
Tonya Trantham has her three. She is the Queen of layering and using all those little bits we have laying about. Check out her post for more details.
Christmas project flashback! Here’s a little inspiration from Lisa Hoel, courtesy of the 2023 Comfort & Joy event. She made a whole set of gift tags and card holders using Eileen’s dies.
Take a look through your collection and see what you can use to make tags. A bundle of tags makes a great little gift to give to someone too! Here are the die sets she used:
