Quick and Easy Loaf Pan

3 Dec

I promised more Quick and Easy packaging ideas… so here we go!

Today I want to share a merry and bright project by Lisa Hoel of Creative Juice. She used the Loaf Pan die from the new Sizzix Vintage Kitchen collection. The tags are from the Kitchen Labels die. I love the fresh colors Lisa chose! Click here to see her easy tutorial.

This die is versatile because you can use it a couple of ways.

See where the end flap? Well there are two score lines there- if you fold in on the first one, you get that angled larger loaf pan like in the pic. But if you tuck both scored sections behind the back flap, you will get a more rectangular container with straight sides. And the Recipe Cards (measuring 3″ x 4″ -Project Life size- and another new die in this collection) fit in there just right if you want to lay them lengthwise and use as a card file!

This loaf pan fits small loaves of banana bread, cookies (I am using this to package my baked goods for a Cookie Exchange I am going to this weekend), candy, chocolate covered pretzels, popcorn balls, you get the picture… anything!

Isn’t it cute? And it so is fast to make! If you wanted to to crank out a bunch of them, they are easy to make assembly line style.

So you may wondering where you can buy this die… because you need it! RIGHT NOW! First and the quickest would be to check your local scrapbook store because they started shipping last week and your store might have them.

They are so new that Sizzix doesn’t even have them listed on the site yet! However… it just so happens that I received a shipment today and have a couple I could part with. (ya think?)

The cost is $30 and $5 to ship US. It can be shipped off the following day!

Well, how cute is that?!!? I love it but since baking isn’t on the top of favorite things that I like to do I think I would use it for candy and other goodies. It definitely makes a great presentation in whatever you choose to put in it. 🙂
